| I am not real sure why this thread got past the obvious issue about selling pups to early to...comments about being a "redneck." We ALL have agreed and voiced our displeasure about the breeder's lack of concern for her YOUNG pups......I think those feelings are obvious. But, when an earlier posting where comments jokingly or NOT turned to an insult about how something was written.......then, even I felt the hair on my neck stand up...... I have found over the years, some people will use humor to get a "dig" in on someone else......people in the Midwest do that a lot......I know for a fact, as I am a born and raised Midwesterner........but, the insult is still made....and the hurt is still inflicted...... Let's hope that the COMMENTS on earlier threads were sincere comments, not sarcastic jibes at each other regarding heritage, education or whatever is different about each of us.....jokingly or not. As stated by a "Southern Lady" and friend earlier......."opinions are like, a--h--es, we all have one......and they usually stink.....LOL If the OP was sincere in her admission that she made mistakes......then, that is great......we, on this board will do all that we can to help her.....if her reponse was sarcasm at its finest.....then, I for one wil take all the remaining comments by her as.....what they were........."mindless chatter." |

Well I have learned if you post some thing on YT that theres always going to be different opinions. I have learned that there are people on YT that have nothing better to do, and just loves to attack people, Instead of trying to educate them they like to make them look and feel bad. I have learned that there still are some good people that would love to help in any way they can. with out being mean. I my self have given puppies and kittens away at an early age. I gave a litter of Boxer puppies away at age 6 weeks........they was eating good and it was either find them good homes now or leave them out in the winter weather. The litter of kittens was here by a stray momma cat that had no milk left to feed them, I brought those babies in and bathed and feed them and found homes for them at age 5-6 weeks .My hubby and son had asthma and so I did what I felt I had to do. I felt bad to see this momma cat looking for her babies and will never for get it. But I still think I did the right thing. If this makes me a bad person in your eyes so be it.I know what I had to do. Every breeder that I have met in person have sold or gave their babies away at 6-8 weeks. I always mention keeping them longer. But I cant make them do any thing so I dont see a point in jumping them over it. I say what I feel is right and go on. I think if people are not so fast to jump on others YT would be a better place. Cant we educate people instead of attacking them?

| I think if people are not so fast to jump on others YT would be a better place. Cant we educate people instead of attacking them?[/QUOTE] Okay, I've stayed quiet about this enough but all we're doing is bumping this thread to thousands of views HELPING her sell her pups too young. You're definition of "attacking" really isn't attacking! Have you ever been to other forums such as myspace where people threaten, cuss, and flood!? That doesn't happen here! People shouldn't just stand idle if they know in their heart something isn't right. We're all animal lovers here. And expressing your opinion IS NOT attacking! I would HOPE that if someone saw another person face to face they would mention to the person that 5 weeks is TOO young like I HAVE. Then if they refuse, do something about it. It's not only an ethical matter, because when YOU take on the RESPONSIBLITY of bringing LIVES into this world. YOU are responsible for whatever happens to them from the beginning of their lives to the end. You are the one responsible for giving them the best possible start! If they end up in the shelter at any point you are the one responsible for their death. IF you are NOT willing to do everything you can for animals you bring into this world then you shouldn't have decided to let them breed! With all of the dogs dying in this country this year breeding should not be taken so lightly. Just because you have DONE it in the past doesn't make it RIGHT. One last thing is that she wanted to sell these dogs in California where it is a STATE LAW not to sell dogs less than 8 weeks old! Why is it not OKAY to tell a person that they intend to BREAK A LAW!? If NO ONE stands up for these animals WITHOUT voices then abuse will continue to happen. |

| Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I have to agree with Cheryl - in defense of the people who are being accused of attacking - I'lll throw in my 2 cents (I know some people are thinking you got THAT amount right) this is a discussion board....if no one spoke up - then we just endorce selling yorkie puppies at 6 weeks ...she stated her female is too small to breed - yet she was, possibly will be again Also - there were a couple of other comments the seller stated that were 'odd' Quote:
People on Page One were NOT attacking - giving opinions yes but attacking ?? no. The tone seemed to change with THIS comment below. Quote:

But you cant tell me you have never seen a thread on YT get attacked. Its starts out with someone not agreeing and instead of telling that person what is a better way,and leaving it at that... They make smart remarks.I have seen it more then once and I hope that this thread does not get any worse. And bumping this thread is great if it lets pepole know that puppies should stay with their Mommies a little longer. But I think most of the thousands of views are mostly people that are waiting for a big ugly drama thread to happen and keep rechecking. and have nothing better to do. I just think people should treat people the way they would want to be treated. Theres a lot of stuff I have learned on YT and different ways of doing it. and I hope this site contiunes to help people learn the best way. Im done with this thread and I hope this thread has helped people know that keeping those babies a little longer is always best. V you're so right Smaller animals need to stay longer I do believe that. And when I speak of attacking Im sure you and others know what I mean about some of these threads do turn ugly and that is what I hope dose not happen here.Im all for educating people on the breed or any breed. but theres a good way and a bad way of doing it. And I just like seeing the good way.

Oh, and btw...I wasn't even born in this country much less raised in Texas. Anyway, it won't be long before someone refers you as a redneck just because you live here now, Mary.
