I agree with you 100% ~ not only have three month old Yorkies bonded with their Breeders, IF they are held enough ~ but they learn the negative kennel behaviors of the other Yorkies, (ever been around a "quiet" kennel?) ~ such as barking constantly and then forever being "YAPPERS"! A 'trait' new owners simply accept (as genetic?) even though it drives everyone around them nuts, it is a learned behavior!

~And, three months is plenty of time for the little "Dumbo Ears" to have their splints removed and ears healed ~ just another point no Breeder will admit to ~ and it's just long enough for the long legged ones (Chi-kies? Yor-chi's) to grow enough coat to pass for full blooded Yorkies. I have witnessed both of these with more than one or two Breeders ~ I've already mentioned the "Porky Yorkies" (must be a genetic 'throw back').

And, just where are these rough and tumble litters kept during this time? In kennels. Gee, I wonder why new parents cannot break them from going potty on their cement patio! Those babies just don't like grass!

So, I agree with you 100%, Lydia ~ those bad habits are learned early, and a baby Yorkie does a lot of learning in the first three months. I really didn't intend to shoot back, but now both of us better get ready to DUCK!

This is absolutely eye-opening! Thank you so much for this Post! I don't have my Yorkie yet.....but when I do....the first thing I'm going to do is yank it straight from the whelping box, and tie it to a piece of grass Sod!

I"m so grateful to you....and shame on all of the rest of you so-called "respectable breeders"! I've always been suspicious of your pathological selfish refusal to release your pups! Three to four months old! Who are you kidding?

I for one think the joking at this person has gone on long enough. Your points have been made. We are true rednecks out here in my area of NC and we wouldn't have found this to be darn dam nitted funny. This girl was un-educated on how to rear pups obviously. She shouldn't be made into a public specatacle because of it. I'm sure she is much the wiser now after this. I knows out here in the deep NC territory we'in's don't let em go so soon but we understan that thars alot of people who don know no better and we try to hep em'. I hope she got the education and help she needed. From her last few post(s)s it appears she understands. So she should be left alone. Do you all have nothing better to do?

I don't know how WHERE someone is from became an issue (its not) .....but as far as I'm concerned....the behavior of individuals who DO know better in regard to the treatment of young pups...and then proceed to use derogatory verbage toward other Breeders, and post false and misleading information, under the guise of knowledge, are guilty of irresponsible behavior.

Ignorance deserves pity and education. Arrogant disregard for the hard work and ethics of others, and the welfare of those small lives they have a moral obligation to protect , deserves a very big mirror held in front of their eyes.

If I had seen even a spec of sincere contrition, I would have been the first one to step up to the plate in their defense. I'm still waiting.....cap and bat in hand....

"Where" you are from had nothing to do with any of this where I'm concerned. Weren't you and others joking about the redneck thing? I have a yearly chicken stew that over 75 true blue "red necks" attend and have a blast. I could care less about those comments and made it clear, lol.

I do think the fun-poking at this paticular person is un called for and overly used thus far . Or too damn over done in our terms here in NC.
