to ask the dumb question..what is the differenc between a prospect and a potential? a prospect may or may not..a potential has a good chance?

I emailed her and asked. she said: she would expect that if she wanted to use him, I would be ok with it, although she has never had to do it. She generally has boys there that she uses. Bottom line she doubts that she would use him. So I guess the answer is yes, but she would probably never use him..??

Potential and prospect are one in the same to me...show quality and show potential are different.
Show quality is ring ready, no guessing as what it will be...it is already what it is..a show quality dog.
Show potential has the potential to develop into a show quality or not...only time will tell...

Times have sure changed in the Yorkie world. Fewer people advertize their wins...putting that money into show and breeding expenses I guess.
The YTCNA specialty was very small a few weeks ago...there was a time the ballroom was packed and overflowing...and the NY shows are much smaller also...! Showing costs alot of money..everything costs alot..LOL

baby teeth...she said he looks to have a level bite, but didn't have any teeth yet. He's 9wks today, and I thought they should be in already.

There are several YT's ( myself included) that have purchased from Kathy. Her dogs have wonderful pedigrees.

I am surprised she is offering a full registration to you..Please see my PM to you, and call me if you would like.I also waited several years before choosing Kathy as my breeder. Visited many show breeders..

Kathy has shown , and has won at most of the major shows..Betty Anne Durerr
dogs speak for themselves.

Kathy has been listed as one of the top breeders in the US, I believe, in The YT magazine..

That being said , there are many good breeders, and everyone has health issues from time to time.

Well, I decided about this male...I'm not getting him.

It was actually decided for me. I didn't give her a definate answer so she gave him to the other who was waiting for him.

There are still two other boys if I'm interested. They are out of her Champion Mia. (Me-A-Diamond)

Longmont is about an hour from where I live. when I met Bente at the specialty, I also met Linda V, who is from Longmont. Is that who you're talking about?
