| Alyssa, How did you find this breeder? Do you know her from going to shows? I would want my breeder to be as cautious of me as I am of him/her. I would be leary of any breeder who offered me a potential show quality yorkie with full registration unless I had a long established relationship with them. I know that a contract is only as good as the people who sign it, but I would also be hesitant about no contract at all. It's there to protect all parties involved including the dog. Most breeders work very hard to establish their lines and don't usually trust someone with one of their dogs without having that long established relationship. JMHO. Good luck in whatever decision you make!!! |

| On page 10, Paige explains that she feels this change will be an advantage ro the Yorkie community, giving them more time to prepare their advertising and meeting advertising deadlines plus keeping the advertising rates at a minimum since postal rates have gone up. She is also lowering her rates for color. I'll know I'll hate waiting that extra time too, but she does publish a very nice, informative magazine and it will be worth the wait. (And give me more time to get my ad together, lol)

| You have the exact personality and sense of humor to do well in dogs. Now Geeez Louisssse you just have to get one. I am just like you two, I don't know if it's fussy or don't want to be taken advantage of in the end. All I know is when I finally purchased my girl, I'm sure the breeders threw a party.LOL

| Here's what she said for her contract: - She would sell him to me as a pet/show potential - If he turns out, great, but if not, then I could neuter him and keep him or sell him as a pet - She gives a 2 year health guarentee. She does cover leg perthes and liver shunt...if either of them showed up, she would replace the pup, or offer a refund - She does not want him bred before he has finished - If he does finish, all offspring that I didn't keep would be sold on spay/neuter contracts. How does that sound?? Good/bad?? Should there be something else that I should ask for in the contract?? Alyssa |
