that is the wise thing to do. I speak when spoken to and if sought out. It's just better that way after what I have seen. I am VERY careful of my associations. there are just some peope I don't even want to be friends with. no matter how big a show person they are. just doean't impress me in the least.

we were pulled aside by a woman from another breed and told I dont want to be involved but That woman was Nasty rude and that not nice to do to a novice but everyone else was soo nice

Still not sure if you are registered in a right class since your dog is a bit older than 18 Months old, but on other the other hand is “Novice Dogs” the same as 12 to 18 Months (old) Dogs?

Here are the qualifications for a dog to be shown in the novice class:

Novice - dogs that have never won a blue ribbon in any of the other classes, or have won fewer than three first place ribbons in the Novice class

Scooter was a novice when he was shown the first weekend. Since he won points that weekend then he did not qualify for the novice class but the entries were already submitted for the following weekend. I really don't know if in a case like that you would have to ask to be moved to a different class. Maybe someone else can answer that.

well FRAK I dont know My boss told me to enter Scooter in this class since we lost our points in Merced I assumed we were right .. and at the show our buddie said Open only from now on *stomping feeT* still looking for dog showing for dummies books !!! i need A MENTOR!!!!

I can understand your confusion. There is so much to learn. If you are not ready for the open class you can always enter him in the American Bred class as long as he was bred in the U.S. Some handlers will enter in American Bred when they already have a dog in open and they are breaking in a new dog. I think you are doing just fine. Even the most experienced exhibitors make mistakes.

no AAAAAAAANNND the judges book was mismarked for sunday and they gave my point away LMAO ..I now know to go look at the judges book at the SI table I am so glad The lady I lost too is Kind enought to back up that the point is Scooters!! I emailed you ;o)
