| Does anyone remember little Shira??? Here is an update from Trish on Shira: "Do you remember Shira? The little one who got thrown across the patio by her owner and had to have surgery on her legs? Then developed seizures? Yorkietalkers took her under their ever so protective wing, and paid her bills! Her legs are perfect, she can run and jump and play! Her seizures are totally controlled. She's having a wonderful life! A big thank you and Yorkie kisses to YT from.......... SHIRA!!!! This was Shira then - no hair on her ears, we thought she had leather ear....... she'd lost all of her hair on her back and ears because of stress ...... but not so now ........ no leather ear here! This is Shira now ...... " I just want to add that Shira today is the most precious little girl and she and Toto are "BFF" [as my grandaughter would say!]. She had a really long and painful recovery and even longer emotional recovery. She was afraid of everything and almost everybody for the longest time and it's just so heartwarming today to see her running and playing with the other Yorkies. And I must say .... she is spoiled rotten and I can't think of another one who deserves it more!!

| This is the first time I'm hearing of her story. How terribly sad that somebody would do such a thing to such a precious little baby! She looks so happy now....what a wonderful ending...

| Thanks everyone!! Yes, every time we think of that guy, we get the urge to go find him .... so do our hubbys!!! When you think about it .... that loser is the real loser!!! What a joy she is but it took her longer to trust anyone than any I've ever seen! When we were in Colorado, Toto and Shira had playdates and a few sleepovers! Every time Heather left her, she would watch the door for at least an hour even though she loved us and enjoyed herself at our house. It would break my heart because I knew it was because of the horrible life she had before! It was one of the great moments in my life when she began to climb on my lap to snuggle or lay on her back on my lap for belly rubs just because she wanted to!! My really big day came when Heather came to pick her up and instead of glueing herself to Heather, like she usually did, she still came over and wanted in my lap!!! We both about fell off our chairs!
