| Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | Wow, Thanks for going to see her today. I'm so glad the vet's office and shelter are going to let you take her on monday. Hopefully by then she will be doing even better. She looks like a sweet little girl and is just happy to be in someone's care.

| Spoke to the vet hospital this morning. Gianna (The name that one of the woman gave her) is doing GREAT. She said she is a little more perky, and was eating on her own. They keep her upright to eat so it goes down easier. I'm told (and I saw that right away when I was with her) that she is very sweet with everyone and everything. She's out of ICU (Yippy!!). No surprise but no one has stepped forward to claim her. We will call in the morning and will be picking her up tomorrow early. Has to be early as I have work at 4pm and they are close to two hours from us. I will take her to my own vet on Tuesday or Wed, depending on which day they can get me in. Thanks for the good vibes and prayers, obviously they are working so please keep them coming for this little girl. Also wanted to say, that since she was so skinny, emaciated really, yet seemed to have been kept groomed, I scanned the lost ads on Petfinder all the way back to summer and found one in September and took a shot and wrote them. Have not heard anything back so hopefully for them they found their girl. It was a bit of a distance from where she was but still in the north jersey vicinity. Also, been scanning Craig's list as well as the North Jersey newspapers. Just hate to think that maybe just maybe she was loved and just lost and somoene may either not know how to search or may be searching just in the wrong spots. Will keep you all posted. I think this is a good lesson for all of us, including myself about Microchipping. Some of mine are, but all of them will be now. |

| Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | Glad she is doing better. Good luck today. Hope everything goes well upon picking her up and that she does well in your home. After posting the original craigslist ad here I also looked around for "lost yorkie" ads. I found one on craigslist from a lady close by plainfield and emailed her. She called the hospital to check but sadly "gianna" wasn't hers. She said her yorkie was microchipped and spayed and was told that "gianna" wasn't fixed and didn't have a chip. Maybe you can double check these things at your vet.

| Gianna is home and is safe. She took a 100 percent turn around from when we saw her on Friday. You would not know she was the same dog. She is sitting on my lap as I type this. She can now walk without issues, just a bit unsteady (She fell over in the water dish) but I think it is due to being weak more then anything. It is hard to see in pictures but she really is just skin and bones. I gave her a bath and trimmed her up some, but didn't want to do too much on her, but she was filthy. The vet hospital was going to bathe her this morning before we picked her up, but it is soooo cold. I told them to leave her and I'd give her a bath, blow dry her and let her sit by the fire. She LOVES bully sticks. She chewed on that stick the whole car ride. I had to just be careful and not let her chew it where pieces would come off because the vet said bland diet of maybe Science Diet ID or some boiled chicken. She scoffed the chicken down. Poor thing is so hungry. Only issue I see and it may be because she's still not feeling well, is she does not seem to like other dogs. My crew are very easy going and one by one they came to see her and she growled at them. She may have to be placed without other dogs. She loves people and wants to be with you. Here are some pictures of right before we gave her a bath and one while she is getting a bath. I'll post some after pictures too, just want to let her rest for awhile. Elaine |
