Yea Gabby! Wow I really had to read that post slowly and was waiting for some horrible outcome. But, yea Gabby, for potty-ing on mommy! Baby steps! |
That is wonderful that she has tone in her rear end and that she piddled on you. (LOL) Sounds like she is progressing really well. I sure hope eye will get better. Prayers still continue for Gabby. |

When I first began to read your post, I literally stopped breathing. As I read further, I let out my breath and thanked God!!! You have truly brought this little one along to good health. Sheila |
She is healing. YT prayers work, so we'll keep praying she'll recover completely. Praying her eye will get better. |
Sounds like things are a little better today for the sweet girl. Right now, I am looking at her darling picture next to my computer and sending positive thoughts for continuing improvement. Go Gabby Go! |
*sigh* Way to go little girl! Gotta love those piddles and poos on the road to recovery. :) |
All our thoughts and prayers are with you Linda and little Gabby..always love hearing about her and how well she is doing. I am so happy she has you...what a precious little one and I too have her picture with me and Lexi and I look at all the time and send her positive thoughts and prayers :D |
Gabby is having a grand ole time making me change my clothes! haha ... I use a pad now to carry her outside, but somehow I still get wet. A little while ago she started barking at me and trying her darndest to push her little butt up! She had lots of twitching going on in her lower torso. I let her try for a bit and then I picked her up. She was trying to have a BM!!! So, I took her outside to go. There is NO doubt that she is regaining some feeling and movement! Last night I squeezed her little foot (left side which is the strongest) and she jerked her leg! This is all SO wonderful to watch! |
Ohhh and she went to the opthamologist yesterday. He said to keep giving her the eye drops in both eyes...and he added one other one for her left eye. She is to return there in three weeks. |
Sweet, sweet Gabby! It sounds like she is progressing wonderfully. I'm so glad that we have such pretty weather and that you are able to take her out to enjoy it! I hope she continues to keep making progress! How is the rest of your crew? |

It's so good to read about Gabby being spunky and barking at you. She was trying to tell you!:D I hope and pray she'll continue to improve. I really believe she will. Bless her little heart. She certainly has had some battles in her little life. I really hope her eye can be saved, too. It seems as though she doesn't want to wait 30 days to get up and get moving. |
Was just checking for any updates on Gabby? Hope she is doing well. |
Always happy to hear updates on little Gabby...we are all so proud of her. She sure has captured all of our hearts. Give her hugs from Lexi & I...keeping her and you in our prayers. I can't help but smile when I think of her. You are so incredible Cathy...truly a blessing :D |
Gabby is doing well. She tried to get up and walk out of her crate towards me today when I opened it to take her out. She is still not totally back to where she was before surgery, but I believe I see small improvements each day. She will be going to the neurologist on Monday to get her sutures removed. I am looking forward to seeing what the neurologist sees in her neuro check. |

1 Attachment(s) Gabby had her sutures out today. All of the things I have been seeing are reflexes and not the signs I had hoped they were. :( They said that it is too early to give up and that they expected it might be at least 30 days; but it is so hard not to be discouraged. She is a trooper...she got herself up and tried to walk to me when the vet put her down. She is very strong in her front limbs and can do that for a few steps...she lifts her little butt and carries herself with her front part of her body. We stopped off for a beauty appointment for her :) She looks like a little doll. :) Here is a pic I took in the car with my cell phone. I will get some more pics of her soon and post them. Ahhh, don't get too discouraged. These doctors base everything they say on medical science and forget about the power of prayer and sheer will! She looks like a little doll. What big, beautiful eyes she has! Keeping her in our prayers! |
