I would have freaked out too if someone had said "worse" to me too. :hug:

I am glad she ate the food you brought her. She was definitely happy to see you, no doubt.

I hope that she is discharged and gets to come home with you! I know she must miss you and you are probably worried every second you don't see her! :love:

In the back of my mind I thought seeing you would be a great comfort to her. I would have definately gone and put an eyeball on her as well,Thank you. I think your surgeon will discharge her epecially when she see's how well she does when you are there. I got a nice surprise in the mail today. That picture means the world to me, I thank you very much. :)

I am sure you were the best medicine for her. Sending healing prayers to Gabby and strengthening prayers for Linda.

I hope they discharge her. She would do better in your care. It must have made her so happy to see you again and I'm sure she didn't feel abandoned. Just imagine what they must think when we leave them at the hospital.:(

I'm so relieved to hear that it was just a matter of words. But, it does seem like the Vet could have explained it better, and just said, "As expected, she is not walking today, etc", instead of upsetting you so!

I feel her surgeon will send her home with you tomorrow.

I know she will thrive under your care.

I'm positive seeing you, did her a major amount of good.

She ate so well for you.

I was told later on that Gabby was much calmer and seemed to feel better after my visit....that definitely made me feel better.
If she is not discharged tomorrow I will press a bit. I really don't see what they could do for her that I cannot at this point. Bottom line, though, is that I have to trust the surgeon. If she says another day, and does feel strongly about it, then I will just visit again. :)

Gabby was calmer because of your visit. I would definitely push for her to be released tomorrow.

Even my surgeon ,has always relased me sooner, knowing that I heal much better under my husbands care.

I agree though, if the surgeon has legitimate reason for Gabby to remain another day, I would go along with it and visit again.

Now, Angel of Mercy, you must get some rest.

Gabby is not being discharged today. She is fine, but the surgeon feels she should stay. They have started doing PT with her and they are expressing her bladder right now. They are not doing it because she is unable to control...they just don't know yet and feel it is best to keep the bladder empty.

I am going to visit with her and will post when I get home later on today.

Linda, I got the picture you sent of Gabby. She is so PRETTY!!! She has the sweetest little face.....I could just smooch on her all day. Thank you! :D

I hope she's feeling better during your visit today, and pray she'll get to come home with you tomorrow.

I have gotten lots of messages about her picture! I am so glad that people enjoy them. :) She really is a pretty girl. She is a total sweetheart. Funny...when the neurologist called me today she went on and on about how sweet Gabby is!! I know they are all sweet, but this one really has a way about her. It's kind of hard to explain. Poor thing has been through the ringer.
She was very bright today! The neurologist feels that there is improvement with her left hind leg.
Gabby spent 10 minutes with me...she gobbled a couple of treats. :)

The poor baby. She looks much better than I thought. That sounds like good news from the Nuero. I have NEVER prayed so much, it's exhausting but worth it! LOL!

I'm glad to hear that there is some improvement with her. I know she was so happy to see you.
I LOVE the pictures of her. I have to say once again every time I see a picture of her she reminds so much of my Annie that I lost on 12-31-2010.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good she looks, too. What a little trooper!!

As pretty as she is, she may start a new hair trend in that style. She's so cute.

So glad you were able to visit with her again today, LJ. Wow, just looking at her back reminds me of the seriousness of the operation.

Glad she is doing better each day and bet she loves that little blanket that is in the latest picture. Keeping up the positive thoughts and prayers for this little angel.

She pooped on that blanket today. :D I left her a zebra print one. :)

I put the picture that was sent to me of Gabby up on my wall at work and say a little prayer for her everytime I look up and see her picture.

Gabby was discharged today. I am quite busy atm, but wanted to at least post that she is out of there! :)
