| Free Female Yorkie Needs Loving Home Hi, my name is mary. I joined Yorkie talk because I have to find a new home for my Yorkie and I thought anyone on there really loves yorkies and would give a good loving home. I am not selling her, I just want to give her to people who will love her. I was diagnosed with Cancer in May and have been undergoing chemo and I just finished 59 radiation treatments..I still have more chemo to go. I am finding it very hard to give her the attention she needs. I can't hold her in my lap or lift her. Jennie just turned 5yrs old in May 2009. She has no medical problems at all, she does have to have her teeth cleaned. She has been sprayed and is up to date on all shot until 2010 (Rabies 2012) She weighs 7lbs. She would be a great champion and also can be with other dogs. I purchased Jennie 2 years ago from a breeder who was not going to breed her anymore so she was 3 when I got her. She has been loving and sweet. She is trained and lets you know when she has to go out. She is also a good watchdog. I have all her medical records and she is full blooded Yorkie. I am in Delaware, if you are in a different state all I ask is you pay shipping charges for her. I have picture of her, If you are interested you can pm me here or email me at kanary01@comcast.net |

| Ahh...I am really sorry that you are sick and I hope all works out well for you. Your baby sounds darling. If I could offer you some advice though, please don't give her for Free. This is a public forum and the whole world, both good and bad can view this listing. I don't know if you aware of it or not, but very bad people seek out cheap or free pets to do bad things to or re-sell after the fact. Now I can tell you love her and only want the best for her. Ideally contact a Reputable Yorkie Rescue to surrender her to is best, as they have the experience and proper procedures in place to make sure she finds her furever home (they will also do her dental before adoptions). But if you place her yourself, please charge a small fee, check Vet references and personal references and do a home inspection. These are all things a Yorkie Rescue would do for you if you were to surrender her to one. Best Wishes Nicole |

| i would like to recommend yorkieinc.com it isn't exactly a rescue but a placement service. they are good at what they do (only two friends) and will keep you informed every step of the way and ask your opinion on the right home. They are fairly close to you. Well, I just tried the link and I think it has been hujacked, it takes you to some other place not even connected with yorkieinc. maybe you could just type it in instead of following the link. Sorry for what you are going thru. Last edited by Sugar's Mom; 09-05-2009 at 01:49 PM. |

| Rescue Me Yorkie Rescue is located near your area. Please do not just give this baby just to anyone. Do a background check, a vet check and a home inspection. This rescue will help place her in a safe home. Please keep us posted. |

| I am so very sorry that you are having to give up your baby. If I lived closer I would take her. Prayers for strength to get thru your cancer treatments.

Senior Yorkie Talker | So very sorry for your situation. I know how difficult this must be for you. I completely agree with the others here...please find a Yorkie rescue to take her or to at least help you to place her. There are so many sad scenarios regarding free or inexpensive Yorkies. Take care of yourself and God bless.

| I just wanted to offer my prayers and well wishes to you. I'm so sorry that you are walking this path in your life, but you obviously have a huge heart (as you're looking in the best place you could to rehome your baby) I think that kindness will be rewarded to you in the long run. I don't know of anyone in your area, but suggest the rescues that the others have offered. There are very educated and experienced yorkie lovers on here and tons of rescue volunteers. (((((((((((Hugs))))))))))))))

| I feel really bad for you. I'm really sorry your having to go thru this. I hope the treatments your getting cures you of the cancer. We go thru your city on the way to the beach. If I could take another dog, I would be glad to do that for you. But I can't right now. I wish you the Best of Luck in finding a great forever home for your Yorkie. Take Care.....

A good breeder would want to know of this situation and take his/her original dog back. If they do not want to do this...than I suggest contacting a "good" local "Yorkie" Rescue group in your area. I'm very sorry to hear that your ill but, is it possible that just until you finish treatment or are feeling a little better a friend or family member could keep your lil one. Then when you're feeling better she could return? I think it could be very beneficial to your health especially, now to have that connection with your pet...if it's possible. I foster with Yorkshire Terrier National Rescue in CA but, you might want to contact Yorkshire Terrier National Rescue Adoptions and Shop to see if there are any options available to you in your state or neighboring states, too. Good luck to you & your lil' one!
