I was diagnosed with Cancer in May and have been undergoing chemo and I just finished 59 radiation treatments..I still have more chemo to go. I am finding it very hard to give her the attention she needs. I can't hold her in my lap or lift her. Jennie just turned 5yrs old in May 2009. She has no medical problems at all, she does have to have her teeth cleaned. She has been sprayed and is up to date on all shot until 2010 (Rabies 2012) She weighs 7lbs.
She would be a great champion and also can be with other dogs. I purchased Jennie 2 years ago from a breeder who was not going to breed her anymore so she was 3 when I got her. She has been loving and sweet. She is trained and lets you know when she has to go out. She is also a good watchdog. I have all her medical records and she is full blooded Yorkie. I am in Delaware, if you are in a different state all I ask is you pay shipping charges for her.
I have picture of her, If you are interested you can pm me here or email me at kanary01@comcast.net |
A good breeder would want to know of this situation and take his/her original dog back. If they do not want to do this...than I suggest contacting a "good" local "Yorkie" Rescue group in your area.
I'm very sorry to hear that your ill but, is it possible that just until you finish treatment or are feeling a little better a friend or family member could keep your lil one. Then when you're feeling better she could return?
I think it could be very beneficial to your health especially, now to have that connection with your pet...if it's possible.
I foster with Yorkshire Terrier National Rescue in CA but, you might want to contact
Yorkshire Terrier National Rescue Adoptions and Shop to see if there are any options available to you in your state or neighboring states, too.
Good luck to you & your lil' one!
