| I wanted to update people from a post on page 1 about the Newbie who had posted looking for a Yorkie @ little or no cost. I was the nice lady who told him about the wonderful, caring people on YT who would be able to point him in the right direction of finding his dream Yorkie BFF. I worked with him through Craigslist and he was able to pick-Up his dream Yorkie London 2 weeks ago last Saturday and payed a re-homing fee. London is a doll baby and has the cutest floppy ears. They're already a staple @ the local Dog Park. His name on here is: iiwiijd, Why not stop by his site and congratulate him and ask him to print pics of his new little one! I wanted to let you all know that he does have his Yorkie... I hope the little one in this post will find her BFF also. Thanks for whoever paid to have her spayed and her teeth done!!Hugs, Jodi

| Lolita is still a little unsure at moments but is slowly relaxing. We have been giving her her space and taking it easy. We are going at her pace and I'm happy to report that Lolita is now staying out in the open. At this point she seems to prefer laying in the bed not hiding in the kennel. I gotta tell you... I think she's melting my husbands heart like a hot knife does cutting into butter. lol Thank you everyone for your kind words. I feel terrible not responding to everyone specifically but please know that your words are very much appreciated. I can tell you all really care about this little girl and want what's best for her. I'm constantly humbled by the generosity, kindness, and knowledge that is shared here on YT. You are all amazing individuals that help to make this the caring community that it is.

| Great news!! Sounds like this little lady is settling in. It will probably take her a few days to learn sounds and smells of your home .... perhaps she is getting comfy in her "forever home" already??? They do have a magical way of stealing your heart! I am so happy that you found her and are giving her a chance! God bless you.

I told my husband I would find her a home because he says 2 in the house is enough. If we can't find her a home that works out and he says we can keep her then I would be more than happy to keep her here. He would have to say the word though. I don't want to break that trust with him in case another animal in need comes along. The girls are all getting along very well and have not had any issues so far. I just recently got the girls a new bigger bed and they all slept in it together last night. It was pretty cute. I have not seen Lolita go into the kennel since yesterday so I think it's a good sign that she's quickly trusting her new surroundings. She's doing well going potty outside. We just had her first small potty accident a few minutes ago but it was my own fault for not getting her outside after she woke up from her nap. She did finish outside like a good girl though. I think the grass comes up and tickles her belly so she kind of trots through it. It's pretty cute. She has been exploring the house a bit today checking things out. When she finished exploring she came back over to me and let me know she wanted back up on the couch. I got some cuddles, a kiss, and now she's laying down on the couch again napping.

| I think Lolita has leather ear on her ears and bridge of her nose. I have searched for information on the subject and really believe this is what she has. I'm going to talk to the vet about it Friday as well when she goes in to see her. The information I found said to use Lotrimin 1% twice a day. I'm assuming I can find this at Wal-Mart. (?) I want to start treating her for it but I wanted to make sure this is correct information. Is there anything else I should do for her? Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

| Take this with a grain of salt because I had not heard of it before. I was looking for some answers as to why Lolita's ears and bridge of her nose were the way they are and a google search brought up a topic on leather ear. I did a search on leather ear and came up with some information (of course on YT) so I read what everyone wrote about it. What I read was that it's a fungus that they can get if they get too cold and I also read that they can get it if their hair is cut super short as well. I think I read that it can spread if left untreated but I'm not positive. It sounds as if the fungus buildup blocks the hair growth but once you get rid of the fungus the hair has a good chance of growing back in. Apparently persistance is key to treating it as results can be slow to show up. I didn't read anywhere that said if it does or doesn't pose a health risk. It just seems like it would be uncomfortable living with something like that growing on your face and ears so I would like to get it treated.
