| I flew in June with Phoebe, the carrier that I purchased was from Petco. It was maybe $30. I actually took it to the airport before we flew and asked them if it was ok. It was just fine. The issue is size. If you go onto the airlines website that you will be flying on they actually have the dimensions. You just need to make sure it will fit under the seat. Hope this helps.

| There are a lot of airline approved carriers at Petco/Petsmart. Good luck flying with your furbaby... I found out after I bought my ticket to go home for Christmas that Southwest doesn't allow animals on the plane at all... not in cabin or cargo

| Oh, no!(responding to sweetcuteness) That is something else you need to look into ASAP. I know that for domestic travel airlines only allow 2 pets to fly in cabin. So if you haven't checked do it NOW! Before you purchase that ticket.

Also I am short & I don't like to have things hanging on my shoulder and hitting me in my toosh. Once I saw the Celltei Carrier I knew that was the one I needed for all of my needs. travel around town, road trip travel, over night trips & airline travel. I honestly will not need to purchase another carrier. Nor do I even feel the need to look. Celltei also makes several differents sizes. So as short as I am it does not hit me in my toosh & it fits my size of yorkie. It's not like lugging around a duffle bag. I have several other carriers that are now out in my garage at some point I will get rid of them. Celltei is my favorite carrier and well worth the money. www.celltei.com

| I flew with a Delta carrier (as in the airline Delta) to Europe last year. We flew NWA. They look the same as a Sherpa bag.

| I already called Delta Airlines a couple of times and asked if they allow pets in cabin on flights out of the U.S and they said they do. I have not booked a flight though. They also gave the max measurements for in cabin carriers : 17'' L x 12'' W x 8" H. All the pet carriers i've seen on line are usually more than 8'' H. Does it matter if the carrier it's a little larger or higher? I like Sherpa carriers but i wanted to see what else it's out there. |

| I have the Sherpa Backpack which I find is great for my needs. I saw that a few people said that the Pak O Pet was heavy - I'd really like to see one in person before I buy it... I found this info on travel with pets to Italy that might be useful: from http://www.touringclub.it/internatio...re_leaving.asp "A traveller entering Italy with a dog or a cat must have a veterinarian's certificate issued in the previous month stating the animal is in good health, plus a certificate stating it was vaccinated against rabies no more than 20 days to 11 months (6 months for cats) prior to entry. Both certificates are valid for 30 days, must be also in Italian and give the breed, age, sex and color of the pet and the name and address of the owner. The forms are available from all Italian diplomatic and consular representatives. A dog must be on a leash and muzzled when in public places. Parrots, parakeets, rabbits and hares also require health certificates and, in addition, are subject to an examination when entering Italy. Customs officials may demand a medical examination of any pet they suspect is ill or arriving direct from tropical regions. For more information, visit this website: http://www.ministerosalute.it/linksanita/alimvet.htm" |
