I flew in June with Phoebe, the carrier that I purchased was from Petco.
It was maybe $30. I actually took it to the airport before we flew and asked them if it was ok. It was just fine. The issue is size. If you go onto the airlines website that you will be flying on they actually have the dimensions.
You just need to make sure it will fit under the seat.
