| OMG...I JUST did this 30 seconds ago! My son & I were trying to figure out which of my "not pet-carrier" bags they could fit it, which they liked the best & which we could fit BOTH pups in. The winner is....the Alma GM

My first was a small black alex. The pockets annoyed me as they were just too small to hold much...ie: my wallet wouldn't fit in a pocket...so in hindsight if I was to buy a small, I'd go with the Alexa for the bigger pocket rather than 4 tiny pockets. My next was a large (much prefer the pocket size on the large) Alex putty with faux snake-skin trim & handles. It didn't hold up well at all. The handles started coming apart. Then I bought the faux patent black croc. That has been the most durable one, and the material holds itself a little more rigid than the others. But I got sick of just taking a black bag every time, so I got the gunmetal one. It is a thinner vinyl like the putty and more floppy then the patent croc. As to how long it lasts would depend on how hard you are on them, how well you care for your stuff, and how much your pup weighs (heavier dogs put more strain on the straps, base). Here's ZoE in the gunmetal, and then laying down inside the putty.

ZoE is just under 10lbs, but she is long & tall, I couldn't squoosh her in the small anymore if I tried . Here's pics ZoE as a pup in her small black alex, and now in her large black croc alex. Hopefully, you can kinda see the difference in pocket size.

It is a nice big, sturdy bag. ZoE could easily fit in this kind of bag too...and I liked the large side pockets. The only thing I didn't like about it is that it is a heavier bag. ZoE is heavy enough, so I don't want to add to the weight on my shoulder, but I bet it would be great for a lighter-weight pup. And it's a real leather bag, so it justifies the expense to me. Do the side pockets hold an ipad? I know they are big..just can't picture exactly how big. My large KB pockets will hold my ipad mini, but not an ipad.

| I've really enjoyed reading your comments and input, thank you so much! Especially love the pictures of the yorkies in their carrier, including their weight and size of the bag, it really is helpful. NY is quite an amazing city. Where I live, a simple dog purse carrier can often times go unnoticed, even with the mesh window exposed. But I'm not wanting to carry two purses around and his little purse now is not very comfortable to wear/tote. I'm a leather purse kind a woman and love this pup so having a leather purse/carrier is going to be great. If any of you that have a leather purse carrier(a dog up to 6 pounds) in good condition that you're no longer interested in using, are willing to sell & ship your purse, send me a p.m. Question: How are the leather purses in spring like temperatures? Are they breathable or too warm for the dog? |

| Would love to see what you make! Could you help me with dimensions? Do you use a pre made pattern? Last edited by furrybaby; 03-03-2013 at 09:27 PM. |

| The Jeraden Windsor bag that I have is really well ventilated. I haven't used it with the privacy panel, but I haven't had a problem taking Katie places in it. They sell a cooling gel pad for it that I am going to purchase.

A lot of people like the black alex... but kwigy bo keeps going out of stock I love the look of the gun metal grey.. you bought that one from me The kw are reasonbly priced, a little less then some of the other designer bags.. but I stopped using mine because I felt like it caved in on Remy. I also think the soft quilted pleather could show wear faster then some other materials used. That is just my opinion. I like the more ridgid or sturctured construction of the jaraden for that reason. I have sold a couple of the large get-a-ways for people who have 2 pups and needed the space. I will tell you they are nice looking bags...but they are BIG!!!! But if you need the space what choice ?

Could you tell me how comfortable this bag is to carry? I'm do not like it when one strap falls off of the shoulder. Also, how tall was your little Chelsea? I'm thinking of both comfort for me the carrier and the carried | |
