| ![]() I just wanted to add something to nancy's post. Any dog under 20 pounds is still a small dog. We (small non muscular females) are stronger and can still overpower a dog of that size. We can still cause unintentional damage. I know you have a teapot (yorkies over 7 pounds) but teapots are small dogs too.

| ![]() Ok Nancy I understand you ^^, I know I should use choke collars, I never use full choke collars only those who choke a little bit (but the one I have is so big it doesnt choke him I just think it looks good on him thats why I have it on sometimes). I would NEVER use a collar that would choke him even a little bit, the one I have just gets tight when he pulls but not that he chokes he doesnt choke any more than of a normal collar. Most often I just have a plain leather collar to hold tags, I have so many collars I dont use the same one always, I'm always changing. As I say I'm waiting until I get my new harness then I will just use the harness then a normal collar to hold tags ![]() The next month I have to keep using a collar until I get my harness. Can't wait to get my new harness ! Im going to check out also those buddy belt harnesses its nice to have 2 harnesses ![]()

| ![]() And even more then that if you have a teapot, Callie is a size 6 almost $100 with shipping but honestly it is very well worth it. It is so easy to deal with and easy to adjust and will last a long time.

| ![]() I have two of these leather harnesses for Roxie, a pink one and a shiny aqua one. They are incredibly easy to use with just the velcro fastener. I ordered the first one online, but then found a local specialty pet shop that actually sells them, so I bought a second one. Dog Walking Harness - Safety Leather Harnesses, Pink Harness, Pet, Large, Small, Teacup, Designer As for her collar; she has a few of the regular nylon collars from Petsmart. She wears it all the time with her name/info tag and her rabies tag. I worry that someday she'll get out, so I make sure she has it on all the time. I also like that I know where she is by the jingling of her tags. I always wash it well with antibacterial soap when I bathe her.

| ![]() When I tried the BB for Jackson, I paid around $80 off Amazon. Actually I think it was closer to $90 with shipping. I really really liked the looks of it, the feel, the leather, but it just did NOT fit him right, unfortunately. ![]() But yes my big boy is a solid 16lbs and I don't even use a collar on him. He still has a pretty sensitive neck and will gag at a very slight tug so I don't want to risk anything. Plus, I feel the harnesses are less easy to escape out of. I don't think I'd ever even use a choke or a prong on a big dog. I walk a Lab and a Rottie, both of which owners use prongs and I've had BOTH dogs get them off pretty easily! The Lab simply sat and scratched his neck for all of 2 seconds and the prong slipped off, and the Rottie rolled around on the ground and same thing... slipped right off. I don't find them reliable and I don't think they work ALL that well. Chokers are even worse, IMO, than prong collars.

| ![]() It was worth it though because its the only harness I have found that if she decided she needs to go crazy and pull doesn't make her gag and cough. And boy over 3 and a half years I have tried many many harnesses. I imagine if i added up the price of all the harness I bought over 3 and a half years it would come close to what I spent on the buddy belt if not more.
