I would NEVER use a collar that would choke him even a little bit, the one I have just gets tight when he pulls but not that he chokes he doesnt choke any more than of a normal collar.
Most often I just have a plain leather collar to hold tags, I have so many collars I dont use the same one always, I'm always changing.

As I say I'm waiting until I get my new harness then I will just use the harness then a normal collar to hold tags
The next month I have to keep using a collar until I get my harness.

Can't wait to get my new harness ! Im going to check out also those buddy belt harnesses its nice to have 2 harnesses
I love the Buddy belt, but it was kind of a splurge, there are lots of great cloth harnesses at the pet store that are under $20.00. I like the BB because it has a buckel, and it's easy on my hands, but they cost about twice what a regular harness costs.
