| I have also used it just on stains, and it works great for that too!

yes, it is 1 Cup. a 32 oz peroxide bottle has 4 cups in it. I have a Bissel Proheat 2X. I really like it. I bought it about 4 years ago. With small dogs it has been a life saver.

| I know this thread is a few months old but I was wondering if there are more "success stories" with it?? We are going to invest in a good steamer and will probably try this recipe. There were a couple of people that bought this recipe from a man on Ebay but they never posted their results. I would love to know if it worked for them, too. Tammy |

| The formula works great! I use it in my steam cleaner. I gave the recipe to my son's girlfriend who had a dog pee on her couch. She used it in her steam cleaner and her couch looks like new again. Her mom used it on some carpeting she was going to replace due to pet stains and she said she doesn't have to do it now. Just make sure to rinse steam cleaner well after use. And you cannot save the formula. You have to make fresh each time. Make sure to saturate area so it gets down into the pad.

| Hi Ladies, I was getting ready to try this on my carpet but I a lil confused on how to use it. Some of you used it on your steamer....so that means it is sprayed on the carpet then right away extracted, right? or do you leave it in for a couple of days?...and then steam clean with the it again? Help please!!

| I use Bicarbonate of soda. First I use paper towel and get moisture out..then sprinkle bicarb from a cheap plastic icing/castor duster. Its kept very handy close to the favourite spot... Leave it a while and see it soak up the urine and vac or brush it up.What i find is no smell...but carpets can get a bit hard if not vacuumed often enough. But defiinately gets rid of pee pee smell and I have three little yorkies! On puppy watch at the moment day 57 |

| It doesn't only work on pet urine, either. If you have a young'un (or elderly incontinent) who pee'd on the bed, it will work there, too. Saturate the area with the mixture and just let it air dry. No more smell. It will also work well on concrete in kennel areas. The brand of detergent used doesn't really matter: it's only used as a dispersal agent, to thin and spread the baking soda and peroxide. FWIW, I used the big bottle with the same amount of baking soda and a squirt of detergent and worked just as well. |
