| Important...Please read! Okay, I know most of us know to keep our dogs away from dog foods that contain BHA/BHT and ethoxyquin, right? Well, have you ever looked at your own foods?? Usually my husband and I rarely, if ever eat frozen pizza, but last night, we were at the grocery store and we were hungry so we bought a frozen pizza. Well, after dinner, I was putting the box in the recycle bin, when I started reading the label. BHA and BHT are in it!!! This is a major frozen pizza company with commercials everywhere...If it's in frozen pizza, I guarantee that it's in many other foods... We need to take care of ourselves also. I just thought I would put this reminder/warning to everyone out there. Let's me more health conscious about ourselves also

| Thanks. It is really so scarey! There will never be cures for diseases, b/c we are constantly being fed crap. It is a vicious $ cycle |

| Makes you want to have a big garden, start freezing and canning and raise some goats fed only with what we raise organically. To tell you the truth, I'm more worried about the water we drink. Our underground water suppy is so poluted with pesticide & many, many other harmful products for hundreds of years and all have seeped into our water. Between that and all the hormones and chemicles pumped into our beef, it's no wonder why cancers are in epidemic porportions. We do need to cut down or out on a lot of known foods that are not good for us. Also soak all your fresh veggies in 20 drops of chlorine bleach to one gallon of water for 15 minutes, then rinse. |

| Thanks for the tips YorkieDaze! I agree about the water issue...There's so many nasty things in there. And yes, I want to grow my own garden! Seriously, everyday I find out something new. Has anyone read about sodium nitrite which is in packaged deli meats, sausages, bacon, etc? Geez, scary stuff out there. They tried to ban sodium nitrite in the 70's I believe that's what I read, but the gov't got around it somehow. I've been cutting back my beef consumption also...

I've called some of the companies on it and they claim it is such a small amount it doesn't matter - but the thing is that it's NOT necessary. So why use it at all?

| I totally agree it is very scary some of the things I am finding out about our food. I guess we just take it for granted that things are good for us but after all this media about the dog food and spinach and everything else I guess everyone is realizing we better start researching a little! I know I am. As far as the beef goes I am good. We have a friend that raises cattle and is all natural, they dont use any medicines or pesticides on their garden or any of that....only natural stuff....and we puchase one from them every year and put it in the freezer. although I never let them tell me which one is mine....I just couldn't do it if i knew. This is the best meat I have ever eaten!! Hardly any fat......the hamburger you can fry and no grease at all it is so lean!! I ran out once and bought some from the grocery, YUCK! I have gotten spoiled for sure. LOL Anyway, I am off topic a little......just wanted to say I too have really started thinking about this since my baby got her bladder stone and my husband has also had a few kidney stones in the past couple of yrs so..........we are definitely starting to check things out more!
