Seriously, everyday I find out something new. Has anyone read about sodium nitrite which is in packaged deli meats, sausages, bacon, etc? Geez, scary stuff out there. They tried to ban sodium nitrite in the 70's I believe that's what I read, but the gov't got around it somehow.
I've been cutting back my beef consumption also...
