| Don't panic they're only fleas - it could be worse! (my bf's sister got bed bugs in her house ) In my experience, it's sort of a battle. Once those little buggers show up, it's likely going to take more than one application to get rid of them. We had a bought of flea here in Animal Kingdom that lasted about 6 weeks. With a huge house that 2 cats & one yorkie have free reign over, and sleep where ever & when ever they see fit, it was quite the task getting rid of them. A vet-tech friend of ours gave us flea pills - about 5 minutes after Raja ate one he would start going crazy because the fleas were fighting for their life. They all die and fall off. (You can give the oral meds more often than the topical meds.) We also armed ourselves with many bottles (of spray) & canisters (of powder) of *natural* flea killer that would not harm our furkids. Powdered the "kids" and sprayed everything they lay on or come in contact with. It took a while but it was a glorious victory =)

| I'm sure it depends on what kind of medicine you give her. |

| Yes, bed bugs exist! It's disgusting...I saw it on the news one day, and it was so gross. Make sure you wash your sheets and bedding regularly.

| Yes, they do & yes, it's scary! Mind you we didn't find out they had bed bugs until we were sitting in their apartment and they casually mentioned it. Needless to say, we "remembered" we had something very important to do and had to rush off and... do that thing... Once home, we went straight to the basement, stripped down to our birthday suits and washed everything in extra hot water with extra detergent!! My tote bag was quarantined outside for almost a week. Don't despair though, they usually don't pop up out of no where. Her in-laws got the bed bugs from a carpet they brought back from India. She stayed with them a while and that's how she brought the bugs to her apartment.

| I don't see how dish soap would do any good... but with natural flea shampoos you can bathe them more often than the regular kinds. If you're wanting to take immediate action the flea comb is the way to go - just be sure to kill every flea you catch in the comb by pinching with with your nail. The powder we keep around just in case is NaturVet Herbal Flea Powder (http://naturvet.com/) and it can be applied as often as needed. If you think Gracie got it from your jack russel's bed you should be treating the bed & that dog, too. Good luck =)

I would pay for them though - they really work well! The topical meds seem to be hit or miss. (my boy got fleas even with the oily flea repellent on his coat)
