Evangers Dog food
 

I started using Evengers chicken and brown rice food for my yorkies about three weeks ago. They love it. It sure made a difference in there coat in about a week I noticed their coats were shiny and silkier. You can go online and find where there dog food is sold. The store where it is sold will have free samples for your dog to try.

I am going to pet smart. Which brand would be best to get? Blue buffalo or Nutro for a 4 month old?

Nutro is probably not one of your better choices.

In my humble opinion, I think the better brands that PetSmart carries are probably Blue Buffalo, Wellness, and Castor and Pollux Organix (70% organic ingredients).

Hi I'm feeding my dog eukanuba now. 3mos old. What do you suggest I feed her? Is eukanuba really a bad dog food? Ty

I just wanted to share that I emailed about 10 of the companies on this list. All of them except one said they did not send samples. They told me to go to a retailer to get samples or offered 100 percent satisfaction or your money back. The only company that sent samples to me was Wellpet. They have Wellness. So, as of tonight Rosie is trying a mixture with Wellness Small Breed. Hope we have good results. Just wanted to share.

I believe that would be a toss up and a matter of personal preference, those are all great foods. :D

Rosie is a really picky eater and she took right to Wellness. I have been pleased so far with it. And they did send me free samples to try it before we bought it. And a coupon!

:thumbup: Teddi's breeder had him on Eukanuba...we slowly switched to Wellness and he loves it ~ and we love that it is human grade ingredients. He has not had any problems with his stools or vomiting either and he is CRAZY about the puppy treats!!:D

That is so great!! I am so glad it was successful for you. Rosie likes the treats too. And I feel good that she is getting a good quality food. I am glad Teddi is having success with Wellness!!

I recently switched and I will tell you I spent a lot of time researching foods. This one is a five star and seems to be a good food. I have become much more selective on the food and treats I feed Rosie. Especially when I found out what some of them had in them! :eek: I think the most important things are that your furbaby likes the food and you feel good about it too! Glad it is working out!

I have been trying to get an adult sample from Artemis for a long time now. Just left another message. Will see if I get samples this time. I was told that EVO is not so good now since they have new owners. So I am hoping Molly will like the small bite adult Artemis. She liked the puppy.

Wanted to add that FROMM does not give free samples either. I contacted them through their website and was told to simply return a purchased product if my dog does not like it.

Taste of the Wild is offering free samples for their kibble. I am not sure about the canned. It is good stuff. Tried it myself...well I mean he did. LOL But seriously. It is awesome food. Very nutritious, highly digestible, and excellent protein. Moreover, you don't have to switch foods as they get older because it is for all life cycles.

Halo Dog Food
 

I know that Halo is not rated way up there according to the dog food analysis, but it is a holistic dog food. My Duke loves it. When I got him from a lady that had no clue how to take care of him he was skin and bones with bad flacky skin. Two weeks on Halo mixing dry kibble and canned. He is a new little man. The groomer cannot believe the difference.:aimeeyork

Sapato was very picky and barely eating until I found Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover's Soul. My store gave me a free sample and he loves it!!! Its not super expensive either.

So this is the best one to get for my 12 week old Yorkie?

He's been on Purina Puppy Chow since he started eating (that's what the breeder gave him and I've been continuing that). BTW, what do you guys think of Purina Puppy Chow?

I was giving my Valentina RC also until I did research and read it only had 2stars. So switched it right away and started feeding her Merrick puppy plate which has 5stars. And she loves it.

Looking for another premium food for my Kody - 5 months. He is currently Wellness Super5Mix for Puppy - but I think this may be causing him to have loose stool and diarrhea. Any suggestions?

How long has he been on it? Sometimes it can take a few weeks before the loose stools go away and they are fully acquainted with the food.

I have discovered an amazing new food. It's called Brothers Complete and is rated 5 stars on dogfoodadvisor. A friend told me about it. He lives in Pa and gets it shipped to him for free but the store is in Fort Lauderdale where I live. It has NO grain or white potato and is the only food I know that has a coating of digestive enzymes to help with digestion. It also has "reinforced" probiotics to survive the strong stomach acid of a dogs stomach. And it is the only food I know of that is actually stored in an air conditioned warehouse. Also it's formulated to have a nutrient profile that is balanced for a dog.
In Florida the heat in the warehouses gets to the point where it begins to degrade the Vitamin E that is used to preserve dog food these days. Since all dog foods are now preserved with mixed tocopherals (Vitamin E) and Vitamin E is heat sensitive I like the fact that it's kept fresh in air conditioned storage spaces. I think you can get free samples of Brothers Complete shipped to you on the website thedoggystore.com or maybe even the brotherscomplete website. I'm not sure because I'm able to buy it at their store but I know my friend in Pa has it shipped to him and he pays the same thing I do and I think he told me they sent him free samples when he first wanted to try it.
