| I feed my 14 week old a tablespoon of canned each morning with missing link and free daily feeds on dry kibble. He eats about 5 times a day. He is extremely active, very short and compact but is over 3lbs. His belly drags on the floor...........lol

| This was a good thread. I was wondering that myself. I feed my dogs twice a day but they always have food available. They are very picky eaters so I think I will continue to add cottage cheese to their morning meal and feed them again in the evening. I will no longer make food available because my male doesn't eat it and my female is getting chubby!

| Gracie is 5 1/2 months, about 5 lbs. and my vet said to continue feeding her three times a day. She won't always eat three times, but I do offer it to her. I would check with your vet. Much depends on overall size, weight and health.

| i only feed mine the best Hello! Thought I'd put my 2cents worth in. I have two purebred toy yorkies. I've had them for a year now and started feeding them people food (roast, white chicken breast, green beans, carrots, etc. ) I also feed them scrambled eggs with (the best) shaved ham in the morning. They have cheerios out all the time and Beneful puppy food is out all the time too. They've never had a hypoglycemic deficiency..that i know of. They play all the time and take short naps. They also sleep the entire night with me. We all get up at 5:30 am. They are SOOO good. I only feed them what I would eat and they have their crunchy stuff out all the time. Wheat Chex is a favorite of theirs too. My male..Deucy weighs 5.7 lbs and my female Sadie Ann weighs 5.8.

| Not to worry. They only get shaved ham rarely and an extremely SMALL portion. As far as the roast goes...it is lean, lean , lean..and I hand pick out ANY fat i see as I am picky as well. They do get white chicken breast with veggies more than roast. Thanks for your comment.
