| I don't....I stick with RX foods OR home cooking but only under the direction of a vet nutritionist. As for phosphorous binding, you could get the aluminum hydrox powder for his food...your vet should have it.

| These meds are very good & work very well, pretty much instantly. I had 2 dogs on these meds & one lived an extra 2 yrs & the other for 4 more yrs. Also did your vet offer you OR mention about fish oil ? if not you should ask as it's very good for the kidney failure. My Prayers for Moose |

| Epakitin is a phosphate binder but sardines shouldn't be eaten by anyone with CKD too high in phosphorous. |

| My Yorkies are 6, 4, and 3 years old........I want them to live loooong and happy lives.... I though old doggies die when their hearts stop working....but WHY they get so many diseases with liver and kidney problems....its the food??? Its the vaccinations???

| It is not the food and not the vaccines. They simply don't live as long as we wish they would. I would love mine to live for as long as I do.
