| Follow the vets direction. Im sure he has a reason for them. Do you not trust this vet? It might take all these to get over his problem. |

That does seem like a lot of meds at once. Skin yeast infections tend to be itchy and can be connected to allergies. Is Max not scratching? Are his skin problems widespread? I hope that by tomorrow some of the members here who have been through skin issues with their pupsters will have some specific advice for you.

| The Ketoconazole is to kill the yeast so he deff needs it. I would question the Prednisone though as it can cause yeast infections, so at the same time your killing the yeast your also feeding it. Sounds like maybe a food change might be in order here. Have you figured out what allergies he has, food or seasonal ? |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | PLEASE - give him the meds...they are all there for a different reason. The Keto is anti-fungal and the Cefo is an antibiotic (anti-bacterial). The other 2 are for itching and the allergic response - PLEASE give them ALL. The vet is right on this one...they are trying to manage infections, while giving relief at the same time.
