| What do you guys think of Orijen and Acana? Do you think this statement is actually true "Our ingredients are different too. We focus on local ingredients that are sustainably raised, passed ‘fit for human consumption’, and then delivered to our kitchens FRESH EACH DAY, so they’re bursting with flavor and goodness to nourish dogs and cats completely." |

| Eh as someone who feeds Acana with amazing results, I've given up trying to find that "perfect" food. Yes I was disappointed in some of the things the company does and I find it annoying how many people think Orijen is the GODS of all pet foods but honestly? My dog does GREAT on their foods for whatever reason so I'll continue to feed it.

| That again is your opinion and was not my intention. While we are discussing opinions there's been a lot of buzz around the internet about the color of a dress. Opinions?

| Every company is going to have a good bit of BS advertising but i still choose to feed my Yorkie Farmina because I can tell he does A LOT better on Farmina than other brands. With Farmina his is poop is perfect (small and solid) just like it was when i was feeding him raw for awhile, he coat is beautiful and no eye tear stains and every little if any eye boogers - with that being said I feel pretty good about their food and that tells me it is a good quality food. |

My pups who are not on RX food or home cooking are on Hill's Ideal Balance and they are fine! I don't have to panic when the recall lists come out. Not that it could not happen but i feel there is less risk. I am more interested in quality control than ingredients.

I'm happy to hear that you are satisfied with Farmina. Are you feeding the puppy formula? IMO...the long term use of a food is more of a determining factor. Jake is still a baby and issues like tear stains and other issues are not usually seen in such a young puppy. For my dog who are not entering their senior years allergies, tears stains etc did not present until they were much past a year old. We went through several different brands looking for that good which was a good fit. If you would have asked me 2 years ago RC Yorkshire Terrier would have been my choice because it was working well for 2 out of 3. Now they are all eating RC RX food for several reason.

I guess that there are others out there that find the fact the guys a dentist at issue. What I also find interesting is that Dr. Dentist, Mercola, Becker and Dodd all seem to show up in the same search. Makes me go.......hmmmmmm

Yes this is all anecdotal and just my personal experience but I do believe foods can play a factor in small things for sure.
