| I think that both are good options! We have been feeding Fromm on and off for the past year and have always had good results (we tend to stick with the grain-free varieties but Toki has done perfectly fine on all of the foods we've tried). You can ask your local store for samples as well! Our favorites are Game Bird and Surf & Turf...we recently got a bag of their new GF Pork and Peas so hopefully Toki will do just as well on that as the other varieties. You cannot beat this brand in terms of value, customer service, quality, etc! We have also fed Blue Buffalo (Wilderness, Life Protection, and Basics) with no issues to 2 yorkies and a beagle. My parents' beagle is pretty sensitive and a picky eater and has done well on the grain-free Blue Buffalo Basics Turkey & Potato. I will say that although I like Blue Buffalo, I think it's expensive compared to other similar foods and I usually wait until I have a coupon or until they are having a sale before picking up a bag Good luck with your pup! Let us know what you decide to go with! |

| My dogs do great on a fish based, grain free, limited ingredient food, I always make sure it has probiotics included. They loved the Fromm but Ziva gained a lot of weight on it. We switched to the Earthborn Coastal Catch and have been very happy. Treats are fresh fruit and veggie bits. |

| Not sure how this person thought Fromm has a current recall. They have never had a recall, which is rare for most companies. People need to be careful posting inaccurate information. I assume they may have misunderstood something they heard or heard it second hand from someone that was misinformed. Either way, you need to be sure of something before posting inaccurate and potentially damaging information. Having said that, my dogs do well on Fromm and also on Horizon. I rotate between these 2 brands. I will admit though that Fromm formulas are a bit "busy". It may not be appropriate for dogs with sensitivities. The best way to find out is to try it. Fromm is pretty good about giving new customers coupons. You can contact them to ask.

| Between the two, Fromm BY FAR! Great company, great customer service, no recalls, family owned for over 100yrs. With that said, I could never get my dog to do great on Fromm. Believe me I tried and wanted him to. Poo was always softer than I 'like', he also got a bit chubby (well, IMO. He's never been 'fat' but after 6 months of Fromm, I am now trying to get him back on track to his usual muscular body definition). We've been feeding NOW Grain-Free for over a month now and I can already tell differences, he's lookin' better. But we're still on the 'food search' and have a lot of sample bags, looking for his perfect food. I've noticed with him personally, he looks and feels his best on Grain-Free, Moderate Protein/Fat, and fiber over 3%. Fromm is also kinda complicated. FWIW, I think their Gold line is often better than their 4-star line. But I am not a huge fan of Blue Buffalo. I know some do very well on it, but it's made at like 5 different plants, had a few recalls, I read a LOT about GI issues on this food, etc.

I agree about the Blue Buffalo and GI issues. Many pups do well with BB, but there does seem to be a lot who don't.

| I agree with Brit. Fromm is by far a better food. I have not heard of any recalls... Try it and you can always switch if it doesn't work

| My dogs LOVE the Fromm 4 Star Duck and Sweet Potato. It is a regular in their rotation. I haven't tried the Fromm Grain Free Game Bird formula yet, but I have a strong feeling they would love that too.

| Thanks for all of the feedback! Miley is being sent home with Fromm (she loves the game bird formula followed by the pork and applesauce, beef, salmon, then the gold) and I am do happy because I found a holistic let store in my area that carries Fromm! I only considered Orijen because thinking simplistically, it had no "controversial ingredients" according to the dog food advisor website. I don't think Fromm had a recall? I can't seem to find it anywhere online. I believe you might've been given false information but I do appreciate you sharing anyway. I'd rather be told something was recalled and research it than not be told at all |

| Yes, very pleased and my breeder says Miley is too I had never heard of this brand before and that's why I'm so glad so many of you all use Fromm and can give your opinion on it!! Hopefully Miley continues to do well on it and it'll be a formula that we can use for awhile. |
