| I don't know if they do. I think they are fine eating just dry of course yorkies are very fussy eaters and they like variety. Didn't know cats needed wet food. Hmmm, I wonder why? |

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Dry food is find for dogs. Cats are carnivores. They need 3 times as much protein as omnivores. Wet food has more meat in it. Also the water in the wet food dilutes their urine.

You can feed both wet and dry or only 1. Some say kibble is better for their teeth but I doubt the food consistency makes a diffference. I believe genes play the biggest part in overall oral health. I would recommend brushing there teeth. My dogs eat FROMM 4 star dog food- Surf n'Turf, Game Bird, or Chicken a la Veg- Mine do best in poultry/chicken based kibble. They get homemade treats- Chicken strips is their fave. I give THK or other dehydrated type dog food as a topper/treat as well as wholesome human food daily- Mostly fresh fruits/veggies. I feed Nestle/Purina for years til their jerky treats killed my Zoey (April 2012). They just recently recalled the product. Feed whatever works best for you and your pup.

Both of my cats are water drinkers- Must be in porcelain bowl and changed several times a day which is not hard with 3 yorkies and a golden also in the house.

you can buy those dental toys so they scrub thier teeth while playing. my second yorkie lived 18 years on a home cooked diet. and i brushed his teeth. the carnivore, omnivore thing will be argued forever.. cats are suppose to be dedicated carnivores. dogs are opportunists lol they will eat anything. personally i believe dogs are carnivores, but not dedicated. others believe they are omnivores. | |

| Kibble is no better for dog teeth than froot loops are for ours. My dogs have decent teeth and have eaten home cooked soft food for life.
