| I would syringe feed her. These dogs go down so fast. Also, they are stubborn and I have seen dogs, Yorkies specifically, refuse to eat out of pure stubbornness. I do understand that she has been sick and may still be sick but I would definitely try to get some food into her while waiting to hear from the vet.

| I'm sorry your pup is not well. How old is Becky? At this point, I'd be pushing the vet to treat her a bit more aggressively, like doing more bloodwork (not just a bile acids test), xrays, a complete urinalysis with a culture and sensitivity, send a fecal sample off to the lab to be tested, and IV fluids if she's not eating and becoming dehydrated. I'll keep Becky in my prayers...

| Maybe a second opinion, a second set of hands and eyes to examine her and another skill set to take a fresh look. Just get a copy of her records and let someone else evaluate her? My friend once had to force feed her cat for 3 weeks when she was about 7 years old and she was down to skin and bones she was so ill B4 she was properly diagnosed by another vet and treatment instituted. Her first vet had said there was nothing more to do. The cat lived to age 21.

| Are they specialists in this field? If so and if my baby weren't eating and started losing weight, I believe I would go to the State Veterinary college as soon as I could for help.
