| He has baby teeth and adult teeth. Is he going to be neutered? If so you could have the vet remove the baby teeth at that time.

| We're not planning on having him neutered. So the vet has to pull them? |

| Then I would give them time to fall out on their own. If they havent fell out by 1 yr old youll want to have the vet pull them because they can cause infection also they normally have bad breath problems when they have those extra teeth. Alot of people just have it done at the neuter so they dont have to put them under twice if they need it done later. Why arent you getting him neutered is he for breeding? If not there are alot of health and behavoral benefits to having them neutered

| I took my little guy in at around 8 months old and he had 11 baby teeth pulled. The vet needs to put him under anesthesia and remove the baby teeth. You will need to have bloodwork done in order to make sure that your puppy is healthy and can handle the anesthesia. Then you will most likely drop your pup off in the morning and pick him up within a few hours. Some puppies are groggy and out of it afterwards, but mine acted as though nothing had happened. Don't worry, this is normal, but the baby teeth have to be removed by your vet, or infections (not to mention really stinky breath) can occur.

| My guy had two rows of bottom baby teeth. The vet extracted them. She did blood work first, then the day before the extractions he couldn't have any water or food after midnight. We dropped him off in the morning and picked him up in the evening and he was fine. Good Luck! |

| Yes it does. It eliminates him getting testicular cancer and other health benefits. Unneutered males will roam. Unneutered males will mark their territory so he could mark in your home. They can have aggression towards other male dogs. If you want to breed him its your choice but you should consider these things and also if he is a good example of the breed to breed.

YT Addict | I had Mia fixed and they removed 6 baby teeth also! My vet says that yes it is common with these little dolls. So not at all odd but remember in addition to the testicular and behavior situation it can also be a ut situation. |

| Its common in yorkies...Bella had to have 2 baby teeth removed...just remember to get the Blood work done before hand...most vets give you the option - have it done or not cause it cost about 50.00 to have the blood work done...PLEASE don't refuse it...good luck

I agree with this....usually vets will spay/neuter animals when they are 6 months old, or for our smaller breeds when they get to a certain "safe" weight....usually any remaining baby teeth will be extracted when you have them in for spaying and neutering....good luck......

| My Yorkie had some of her baby teeth pulled when she was spayed at 7 months. Then when she was 12 months she had to have knee surgery and they pulled the rest of her baby teeth. My vet told me that yorkies have a hard time losing their baby teeth. You should have them pulled if they do not come out on their own. It will make the dogs bite uneven and your dog will have a hard time chewing its food and it will also cause tooth decay. Best you let your vet check out the dog and handle it from there. Good Luck |

I swear, I think Fiona is like a super yorkie! she lost 3 baby teeth when she turned 5 months old, and when she got spayed, they only had to extract 1 baby tooth! So funny!!!!!!!!!

| My Fido had the same proplem! He also had two rows of front teeth They went as soon as I ordered a time for him at the vet's to remove them But he also had another set of ''vampire teeths'' (dunno what they're called, the huge long ones), the vet had to remove them.
