I took my little guy in at around 8 months old and he had 11 baby teeth pulled. The vet needs to put him under anesthesia and remove the baby teeth. You will need to have bloodwork done in order to make sure that your puppy is healthy and can handle the anesthesia. Then you will most likely drop your pup off in the morning and pick him up within a few hours. Some puppies are groggy and out of it afterwards, but mine acted as though nothing had happened.
Don't worry, this is normal, but the baby teeth have to be removed by your vet, or infections (not to mention really stinky breath) can occur. |
