| I noticed my grogery store is selling pumpkin again. Pumpkin was hard to find because the pumpkin crop last year was really bad and there was no canned pumpkin on the shelves for months. This year the pumpkins seem plentiful and are nice looking. Hopefully the pumpkin shortage is over.

Plus, since it's very low in calories, it'll help fill them up, and not out. I put it in his homemade treats, and give once a day.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Silly me - I was half expecting to see a Yorkie named Kroger posed with a jack-o-lantern. My vet had me add a bit of pumpkin to every meal my dog ate to keep her regular. As she aged, she had problems with her anal glands not emptying properly and had to have them expressed frequently. After she started getting the pumpkin, she didnt have that problem. When pumpkin wasn't available in the stores, we switched to frozen butternut squash. |

| Pumpkin Please try to freeze some its so easy. Buy pie pumpkins at the store, i usually get 3 of them around 8" each, then i cut a few slits in the whole pumpkin, wash the skin well and bake in the oven 350 i believe it was 1 hour baking in the middle shelf for all three, cookie sheet under them for drippings. I got about 4 cups per pumpkin, pureed with a hand blender and froze it all in 1 hours worth of work, here is a link to the site. But it works wonderful no worries looking for in the stores later in the year. How to cook a pumpkin! In easy illustrated steps! |

| Ingredients: 1. Pumpkin (1 whole can of pure) 2. Oatmeal (1/2 cup of Old Fashioned) 3. Chicken (Purdue ground chicken beast) 1 pound. 4. String beans (fresh, diced) 3/4 cup Put oatmeal in a blender or food processor, blend until it looks like flour. Mix all of the ingredients together. Spoon onto a nonstick baking sheet or pizza stone. Bake at 350 for about 1 1/2 hours. Turn over midway cooking cycle. Turn oven off, but leave it in the oven for about 30 more minutes. Hints: Make small spoonfuls for faster baking. I keep four in the fridge, the rest in the freezer in a freezer bag. Prince even likes them right out of the freezer!! Prince loves these, and they smell great!
