				   | Hi TraceyAnn- sorry to hear you and Tucker have been through so much. Here is Susan Davis' information.... Pet Health Pet Nutritionist Holistic Pet Debbie is so correct that she (and Dr. Gordon) have worked miracles on so many of our pups who we were advised to put down. Please contact her immediately - the sooner you do, the sooner he can get well. And, definitely use Plasma, not hetastarch!!!!

My Sissy has PLE and has never been on steroids. The only thing the steriods do is help with inflammation - they do not heal anything. In order to get him well, his intestinal system needs healing. If you consult with Susan (and Dr. Gordon, which I'm sure will be insisted upon) they will start him on an appropriate diet (which will mostly likely NOT be Z/D) along with supplements that will strengthen him. Please do not give up......

				   | One more thing, B12 is usually needed when dealing with PLE issues. Please ask your vet about this......

You are the best This little one has ct also which scared me about putting a scope down him with this going on as I also think she has enough info to treat as well I Hope he is ok as have not seen any posts but maybe she is giving him hugs and kisses at the hospital ![]() J - what hospital was Vicky at - was it in texas too? Is it the same one he is at? I am going to have Ann switch title to PLE/LYMPHANGIECTASIA I remember the plasma worked better than the hetastarch for Jill and plasma saved dex life but they had to sedate to give dex plasma through jugular - did they do the same for Jill? They wanted dex to have fluids through jugular too as he almost died and they felt it was the fastest way to get toxins out of his body - I just said do whatever treat him as if he was your own dog and had to trust back then as i had no clue about all this stuff | |

				   | Dwerten, We just got in at 5am, they tapped another 60ml. from his chest, so 280 total in one day, he's drowning. They are leaning on a biopsy of the intestines and liver because he has a small liver. My hubby who is cooler than a cucumber is a wreck, he thinks all this poking is enough for his little man. They wanted to charge me over 3 grand just for him to sleep there the weekend, no treatment, we refused that, so they put him on the prednisone to possibly give him some time to reduce inflammation, and wait till the pending liver labs are in. The er vet said he went through alot already& is not sure if she would put her own thru all the biopsies. He took his pred. at 5:30 this am, my hubby held him in his arms all morning while we slept, just because he was nasally gurgling. We all woke up & he's brand new, it's all like a phoney fix from the pred. I think this is what I want to do, we will continue to spend 8 hrs. a day in the er. to get him tapped if needed, then weds. push for plasma, the labs should be in, if after the plasma & he's still suffering I want my regular vet to put him to sleep. Can you tell me how to get a hold of that person who performs miracles. Do I call, do I write, I am so a mess I hope you can follow what I am saying. Thanks for everything.... |

But there is hope as Jill is living proof of it and Jodi helped Vicky as well with susan. I am just so bummed it is the weekend but I know Jodi knows susan real well and maybe can get a hold of her. Tell susan Jodi from YT referred you and it is an EMERGENCY. Tell her it is like a Jill situation. The pred will help for this as it is used for getting inflammation down but they can all work together to get the best treatment plan for long term. Do not give up yet just this one last ditch effort and think positive Last edited by dwerten; 06-19-2010 at 09:45 AM. | |

				   | I just ordered an er. after hours consult for 150. I hope I ordered this right. It's with sue and dr. gordon. I had to fill out an application with all that I know so far, but I did it before I read your note about a yt er recommending her. |

				   | all I can say is wow!!!!! that susan is the best. she thinks that yes his worms started everything, and maybe that he always eats stupid stuff is because he can't handle kibble and chicken. she really doesn't like kibble and chicken for dogs. She thinks that the panacur poisoned him, B/C the 2nd day on it he was refusing it and started to collapse, and by the 3rd day everything intestine wise was so inflamed due to the panacur that he was filling up. I looked at the panacur and it is dosed for a 10lb. dog, and he is 6 ish, and weakened. She's worried about in 2 weeks I have to give it again, can the vet cut the dose in 1/3. She thinks if he was knocking on JC's pearly gates, he wouldn't have responded to the prednisone so well. He has no fluid building, chest and nose completely clear, he's able to lay, he looks and acts like a 8 month old pup. BUT.... when I do give him the flagyl, and prednisone, right after it like now he looks glassy eyed, my dogs and I don't do well with any kinds of drugs, except a vitamin. I am a little worried he hasn't had a bm. since 5am sat. am. Also when this really passes how in the world am I gonna be able to collect the others poop, I don't know who's is who's. But that is minor right now. I have to run to the store for whitefish, string beans, and potatoes, she called it a bland anti-inflammatory diet for now. Plus she shipping me a bunch of stuff to reduce inflammation and build his strength back. So if all goes well, I will be taking him to that malvern on weds. for follow up, his cortisol lab and something else will be in by then. Also to try and return the case of ZD cans. For now my guard is up very much, I'm waiting for the floor to give in again, but on the other hand it is so nice to see his little face happy again, his full of lifeness I can't explain how I feel. Do you think that the vets would give me a copy of his actual labs? I want them for reference. I will be following up with susan for new diets changes in about 2 weeks. Thanks again for everything. I'll keep in touch, let me know what you think...Tracey |
