| NONE i do not diagnose just give them the info to go to a specialist and ask questions but you seem to think that is diagnosing and since i cannot do spinal taps and mri over here at my home i cannot diagnose them. Isn't that how you diagnose a dog through blood work, mri, xray, spinal tap, urine, fecal. None of that going on over here so hate to disappoint you Just someone reading the signs the owner posted using her brain having read alot on this breed and maltese breed and trying to help a pet owner get to the right specialist but others want to interfere with that thus hurting the dog not helping the dog and owner and i wonder why? I also wonder why someone puts others down for wanting to learn and help? Last edited by dwerten; 05-31-2010 at 12:58 AM. |

| She died of lead poisoning, not an obstruction. Apparently she was showing symptoms OTHER than an obstruction. But, I guess you would have known what to do better than the vets. It is a terrible case...apparently she ended up with breathing problems and that is why an xray was done. Just a tragic story .. not what I would think was the fault of anyone. But...hey what do I know?

LJ are you not reading the whole thing AGAIN? My Holly died today from lead poisoning. She was 6 months old. She has been in and out of the vet for over a month. At first they thought she had liver shunts, then encephalitis from toxoplamosis or neospora, then she got pneumonia and THEN on a chest x-ray the vet finally saw a metallic object, a lead craft weight. She endured a spinal tap, a brochoscopy and endoscopy. She had had lead poisoning all this time. Today her breathing became so irregular the vet called us in. We had been visiting twice a day. She was having seizures. We just didnt know what to do. Then she had another seizure while we were holding her and she stopped breathing. The vet gave her an injection and then she was gone. Oh how I loved her. Oh how I will miss her. So sad....So sad. ALSO check this one out - neurological signs are rare and how many this past two weeks now? http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sic...ease-help.html http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sic...nk-wobbly.html Last edited by dwerten; 05-31-2010 at 07:20 PM. | |

Actually, I am not the one who skims posts. I read every word and stand by what I said. WHERE do you see the symptoms that this dog had that indicated an obstruction??? I have not see that. She said the dog died of lead poisoning. I would suggest you ask her the presenting symptoms. My guess is it was nothing that would indicate a chest xray which WAS done once there were symptoms indicating it.

| And I will NOT be posting on here again tonight. I am not going to read the kind of stuff you posted last night yet again. You don't like for anyone to disagree with you. I don't know what to tell you. I am not here to debate with you. I simply stated what I believe.

why did they do an endoscopy and brochoscopy - do ya think the dog was VOMITTING or choking? There is the sign for me no need for op to explain further - WHY WAS AN XRAY NOT DONE before all these invasive procedures. It was in there a MONTH and why she died of lead poisoning LJ. She is a tiny dog and was her ALT HIGH from toxins and why they ran BATS for liver -hmmmmm another sign LJ THE VETS SCREWED UP FACE IT - wake up and realize medical professionals are not GOD they make mistakes and it costs us our pets and our lives so stop telling people not to educate themselves and just listen to their vets already or more dogs are going to die My Holly died today from lead poisoning. | Please, please, please just stop! Please? I have the greatest of admiration and respect for both of you. Just agree to disagree and stop attacking each other. You both do tremendous work to help dogs in your own unique ways. Don't let this personality conflict continue to escalate. What will happen eventually is that one or both of you will feel the need to leave YT. If that happens, what then? I'll tell you. YORKIETALK WILL LOSE!! WE WILL ALL LOSE! DOGS WILL LOSE! (Yes, I'm yelling!) We need you both here!! DON"T DO THIS! Just stop....go relax....start a new day tomorrow.
