The leanest cut of pork is tenderloin --- it is just as lean as skinless chicken breast, and that is really low! I would think that tenderloin would be fine, even for a dog that must have a very low fat diet.

Also, if you read labels, you will see that Canadian Bacon is a cut of ham that is relatively low in fat. It would be OK as a treat, but only in small amounts because it is so high in sodium.

I give my girls bacon but only the meat part not the fat part (white) and of course it's not daily maybe twice a month.

If I'm eating chicken, he gets some pieces of chicken, if I'm eating pork, he'll get pieces of pork, etc. Although I rarely eat pork, it's not my favorite. Dex is 10lbs never had issues and at 2 whamo in the hospital and on deaths door off and on for a year not pretty so be careful it can come out of no where here is a pic of how skinny he got from this disease and i was giving him all high quality treats and bully sticks and watching things too before he was sick after being sick he eats purina ha and that is it and he thinks it is a treat too lol

No pork here. My babies have had small bites of just about every thing at one time, Pork is the only thing that made them very sick 3 days they were down, I would not give pork.
