| ![]() Also, if you reacted immediately and got water in his eye straight away, this would be good. If it stayed in the eye it can cause a chemical burn. I don't know if you could apply any kind of eye ointment to coat the eye without trapping any remaining H2O2 in it, maybe causing more harm. I did use the ask a vet service once and was fairly impressed with it. Maybe they could tell you any additional treatment you could do, or what your vet would do if you were to take him in. The service costs between $5-$15 ... to me worth it to at least have an answer from a professional.

About a year ago. I brush my teeth occasionally with H2O2. Somehow a few drops splashed into my eye. (guess I should wear goggles) As I was at the sink, after a few seconds I felt the burn and immediately got water into my eye. I stopped long enough to double check the label and decided to rinse my eye some more. It didn't cause a chemical burn to my eye, but the whole episode gave me a headache for a few hours. As I reacted quickly, my eye was not burned by it, but had I waited any longer, I think it may have caused some damage.

| ![]() There is a Vet on Duty here 24/7.....all are terrific Vets. You may want to call them and talk to the Vet of the Tech. They are one of the few Animal Hospitals that offer after hour emergency care in The Chicago Suburbs. (847) 885-3344 (Golf Rose Animal Hospital*) I doubt a small amount will hurt as long as it was flushed with water. |
