| With all that your baby is going through, and in consideration that she is on a bland diet; I would consider giving her an enzyme/probiotic supplement in her food. You can find it at most of the pet stores. Her GI track has been disrupted and the bland diet will help calm down the acidic reactions, however, you also want the her GI track to rebuild the natural bacterial flora; the enzymes and probiotics will. It usually comes in a powder and is tasteless when sprinkled on food. NaturVet has one that is comprised of enzymes such as Lipase, Cellulase, and Protease which all assist in the breakdown of specific food groups. Also the probiotic it contains, usually Lactobacillus Acidophius, will encourage growth of the healthy bacteria that normally exist in the track. I use this with one of my pups who has GI issues and it is exceptionally helpful. Hope the info is useful. |
