| affordable clinic to spay. any ideas? Hi, Sasha has to be spayed and the vet told me is $300.00 now that she is 1 yr and 4 months. ouch!! Does anyone knows any clinic or organization that helps with the spaying cost? The only option I'm thinking about right now is to buy an insurance policy for her. Thank u

| You are in Union county right? The state has a listing of animal hospitals that participate in their low cost program.. NJDHSS, Communicable Diseases: Animal Control Program If you're willing to wait & travel the Animal Friends for Education and Welfare runs their spay/neuter clinic. Males are about $75 to start. Their last one was in september, not sure when the next one is. They used to be in Clark, but I think they moved to Hamilton. Low Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic If you're willing to travel to Voorheees, the AWA run their low cost clinic. Would be about $85. I believe their services are on going, you just call and make an appointment. Animal Welfare Association: clinic_faq There is Ace of Spays, but they are in Hainesport and I think that's pretty far from you. He's $110 for his basic neuter services. ($250 for total full service, about the average neuter cost in NJ back when I lived there a couple years ago.) Ace of Spays, Spay & Neuter Clinic |

| If you are comfortable with your own vet, then I would stick with him. You can apply for care credit and make smaller payments on the surgery if your vet takes it. The link is: CareCredit Veterinary Financing for Pet Care, Pet Surgery, Vaccinations & Other Veterinary Medicine Procedures

| Google Spayusa and they send you a voucher for spay/neutering. My vet wanted to charge $600+ but with the voucher it cost $85 for neutering. |

| OMG those prices are extreme!! I use two different vets here in Missouri. One uses injectable anesthesia (60+ year old "retired" vet) and only charges $50 for spay and $40 for neuter. The other is a very up to date vet clinic with very good equipment, gas anesthesia, monitoring equipment, EKG, certified vet techs etc and charges $98 for dogs under 50 lbs and $150 for dogs over 50 lbs. I can't imagine paying over $700 for a spay!! Teresa |

YT Addict | When I got my Bryan I lived in South Jersey and his vet wanted to charge me about $300 to neuter him...I went to the Humane society and had him done for $43.00! Well actually it was $48.00 because the charged my $5.00 to pull out his last baby tooth....check them out! The only thing I didn't like was that they kept him over night...but now I'm glad they did because the know what to look for if any goes wrong
