| That's a lot for a little pup- -you call the vet and get a pain killer or give them a little children's benedryl....but, I don't like the drugs, so I heat up some rice in an old tube sock and heat it in the microwave--then tuck the puppy in her bed with her little heating pad--and let her sleep! |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | your post is confusing to me. what vaccines exactly did he get? just the distemper? the dewormer shouldn't have any negative effects on him. with any vaccine the most common side effect is lethargy so you can expect him to be tired the rest of the day. also some get a sore spot at the injection site. these things should resolve by tomorrow. he just needs to sleep it off.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | The distemper can make them a little lethargic and sore. If you think it is more than that then I would take him to a ER vet. Also, I always seperate my girls rabies and distemper by 2 weeks so they don't get overloaded. I also don't give mine the lepto part of the distemper shot (dhLp) since it is the one most likely to cause a reaction. Since lepto isn't a problem in my area and my girls aren't out much. I hope Coby feels better soon.

You know your baby best. Go on instinct and don't take chances , get your baby to the vet or at least make a call.

Agree, that you should call a vet to discuss his reaction.
