sounds like he just got his distemper combo. most usually have a variety of things. i usually only get the 4 in 1 DHPP which is distemper, hepatitis, parvo, and influenza. its common for them to become sleepy after this vaccine. just keep an eye on him and if anything gets worse (which is not usual) then call the vet again or take him to the ER. its unsettling to see them act differently and i'm surprised the vet didn't tell you the side effects of the vaccine before he gave it.
