| Bloody Stool One of my babies just experienced that about a month ago. He had diarrhea and blood came out. I took him to the emergency room and he was tested positive for Giardia. So we had to medicate the other 2 dogs for a week and so far that seems to be ok. I highly recommend you take your baby to the vet. It could be something that needs immediate attention and bring a fresh stool with you preferably with blood in it so they can test it. Good Luck |

| There are a number of things that can cause a bloody stool. Most often it is because they ate something that is irritating the intestinal lining. Also, cancer, parasites, viruses and anal sac infections can cause bloody stools. |

| If I noticed blood in my furbabies' stools I would be on my way to the doctor asap. I will do a search and see if I can come up with some examples of what the problem might be. Please, please take your baby to the vet. ~Joanne~

| If you have any pure canned pumpkin it would help to give her a teaspoon. As long as her gums are not white and she is not lethargic she should be fine until tomorrow. It very well could be that the vegetables irritated her intestinal lining and caused the blood stool. |

| My 3 month old Bailey had poops with blood in it a few times and it scared me to death, I took him to the vet a couple of times. The cause of it seems to be certain foods in his case, so I'm switching to another brand. It is scary though, and I would definately take your little one to the vet asap to get his poop tested for coccidia and gardia. All the best.

| Mine just gave me the same scare this week-end and yes she had too many vegetables, stool samples were checked for other causes, so she's on med's for 5 days and no more human food for her. Her stools are still soft but no more blood. Please take her to get checked out. |
