| Friend Recommends Honest Kitchen Raw Diet Plan... Well, Skyy has been loosing some weight and its not a Good thing. I am planning on Changing his Diet Plan. I am thinking about changing over to Honest Kitchen. I will be getting his new Dog food tomorrow.... Which of the following should I get? 1. Force A delicious grain-free chicken-based recipe for adult maintenance. Especially suitable for sensitive dogs. 2. Keen A low-gluten turkey-based recipe for adult maintenance including health-conscious hounds on a budget. 3. Verve A hearty recipe with beef and organic grains, for adult maintenance. Excellent for senior and less active dogs. 4. Thrive A simple, gluten-free chicken-based recipe for all life stages including growth, pregnancy and lactation as well as active adult dogs 5. Embark A rich, grain-free turkey-based recipe for all life stages include growth, pregnancy and lactation as well as active adult dogs. 6. Preference A grain-free, meat-free dog food premix to combine with your own choice of protein including exotic meats or fish. Skyy will be 2 years old in August. I would like him to pack alittle more meat and be much healther... Also, the Website say I can mix fruits and etc. with the food? Any advice? -Anthony Last edited by RoKnAzn; 06-29-2009 at 11:53 PM. |

| I would absolutely recommend The Honest Kitchen. I have been feeding my Toto the Force for several years. I checked with my vet and he heartily approved. When it is rehydrated according to directions, it is considered "Raw" ... it is dehydrated at a very low temp and is made from "human grade" ingredients. Yes, you can add whatever you like to it. I usually add minced chicken tenders, carrots and green beans. It's handy to keep this meat and veggies in the freezer after cooking fresh. I also keep fresh chicken broth in the freezer. For treats Toto also gets Wild Alaskan Salmon, Yummy Chummies. It's dehydrated salmon and she loves it. The only other treat she gets is Kona's Chips ... we give her this when we have our dinner in the evening. My vet has researched all these products and is pleased! After the recent "Made in China" scares, I am happy to have found these items and to know for certain that Toto is safe. Good luck and I hope your little one loves The Honest Kitchen as much as Toto does!!

| We have been using The Honest Kitchen for almost two years now!!!! I would recommend getting a travel size bag (the 4 ox0 of each formula and try them all. The best thing is they can be interchanged without any problem and it is very easily portable for tavel. My girls didn't care for Verve at all, but love all the rest. We began with a combination of Force and Embark, but now just use Embark and Keen as Sissy can't have chicken products. I also really love the Preference and they get that daily with cooked white fish and salmon added to it. Other than that, I don't add anything else, as it is a complete meal. Don't be surprised when you mix it up that is looks like you're feeding almost nothing. My girls each get 1/4 cup twice a day. We also use Sparkle, their coat supplement. They have great treats, too!!!!!! Hope you and your pup love it!!!!

He really shouldn't have any problem with the chicken used from THK as it is organic. Most do not really have a chicken allergy - it is a response to all the antibiotics and hormones pumped into mass raised chickens. But, if there is an allergy, scrathing lots, biting at paws, runny eyes/nose, frequent ear infections, and skin issues are just a few things that could be present.

| My boys LOVE LOVE LOVE The Honest Kitchen! I don't feed it anymore (kind of a pain for travel) but man they loved it. Totally porked out Ryder, too, which was a great thing at the time! It smells so yummy!
