I would absolutely recommend The Honest Kitchen. I have been feeding my Toto the Force for several years. I checked with my vet and he heartily approved. When it is rehydrated according to directions, it is considered "Raw" ... it is dehydrated at a very low temp and is made from "human grade" ingredients. Yes, you can add whatever you like to it. I usually add minced chicken tenders, carrots and green beans. It's handy to keep this meat and veggies in the freezer after cooking fresh. I also keep fresh chicken broth in the freezer.
For treats Toto also gets Wild Alaskan Salmon, Yummy Chummies. It's dehydrated salmon and she loves it. The only other treat she gets is Kona's Chips ... we give her this when we have our dinner in the evening. My vet has researched all these products and is pleased! After the recent "Made in China" scares, I am happy to have found these items and to know for certain that Toto is safe.
Good luck and I hope your little one loves The Honest Kitchen as much as Toto does!!
