When you add them up, you could say this food is probably mostly grain rather than meat. If your dogs love it, that fine. It doesn't matter how good a food is if they won't eat it. It might be a little pricey for a food with so much grain. Since you don't seem to mind shopping online for your food, you may want to look at Pet Food Direct. I just started on it yesterday, they all love it. Didn't have any luck with the solid gold. I will keep them on this. Yeah, I did go to that website you sent, but, they were going to charge me $14 for s&h on the big bag, so decided to order straight from the company and get free shipping. My pet store, charged me $14.99 for the 4 lb bag(plus tax), at the company that makes it, it was $12.99, no shipping or handling as I ordered 2 of the bags. They were out of stock of the big bags. I did check pet food direct first, the price was great, until the shipping was added on.

I don't understand this..I just bought them a good food. I had chicken soup picked up and then nutro ultra small dogs, put them back and decided to try this. I don't understand why everyone is saying it's a bad food. Mine won't eat solid gold or the dick van patten one for allergies. They will eat this, the main thing is that they will eat it and they like it, and I think it's a good food. I read through it, I didn't see anything bad. My yorkie was itching on solid gold. I have bought all of these...and then some...Penny did not like any of them...so what do you do?...You keep buying food until you get something they like....you can't make them eat...they will eat it if they like it...and I am still searching for the perfect food...she doesn't "wolf" down any kibble...just picks at it...she has never been excited about any food....I even tried raw....

I have been feeding California Natural and they have all been doing well on it Im trying to buy a good food my for my crew and still be able to afford one The economy has everyone trying save and though its not always best to switch, sometimes its nessasary ,,,,I need to find a good food that helps put on weight for one babie but not for the others ? now thats where it gets tricky

i do not understand why the op started this thread. you started another thread about food a little while ago. and people had similar responses to it.

so to the op, why do you keep posting threads about 'cheaper' 'commercial' foods being 'just as good' or 'healthy for dog'? i thought we already hammered that point to death and that we were all just going to agree to disagree?

you can feed your dogs whatever you want. no one can tell you what to do even if people wanted to!

i just really wish you would stop posting about the bad quality dog foods as a better thing to feed your dog.

i feel like you are just trying to find people to agree with you so you feel better about feeding your dogs food that's not as good for them as the other brands that we suggest are more quality and healthier.

even in you other thread. the people that stood up for you were mostly merely saying that you are entitled to your opinion, and almost all that stood up for you also said "i don't feed my dog THAT (commercial brand) dog food"

i think you are a good person, so i don't understand why you keep starting these threads that are similar issue in nature, and then arguing with people about the same point over and over?

i know that there was a member that was suspended because of her participation in your last thread. yes, the thread got kind of out of hand. but that's because people feel passionately about the dogs, and what's healthy for them.

please stop causing issues...feed you dog what you like, you are not going to get an agreement from people that the bad quality commercial food is healthy for you dogs, because it is not, and to agree to that point would be false!

as i said in your last thread, there are people that search this site for info. and the kind of threads on food that you are starting is really misleading to people who are trying to feed their dogs the best foods!

please consider my suggestion, stop starting these threads about dog food, feed your dogs what you want...

Let me know how it works out....

I agree with you but there are so many different age groups on this forum. Its all good, I dont think anyone means to hurt anyones feelings. Its just the way we read it. I love to learn new ideas and different opionions especially about dog food. Im with you, bottom line we all want to feed our dogs the best because we love them.

Hey Deb, try the dogswell, even my moms morkie who is terribly picky loves it and is even sneaking pieces of it out of my dogs bowl. To me, the main thing is that they will eat

Hey Dee. Yes, Tootsie is eating it too. Mom couldn't believe that she actually picked up three pieces at one time(they're pretty good sized) and then took them to her corner to eat them. They won't even touch the solid gold anymore. Am trying to get them to eat this new gradually, but, it's hard when they will only pick out the new ones. Mom and I ordered some off the website lastnight, and my sister also bought some.

Excuse me??? The last thread I started I was wondering about foods. This time, I have been trying very hard to find a good food, so, think you best read again. This food they are on is NOT CHEAP, and is a very good food I feel. So, maybe, you're trying to cause problems. Read!!! I said I was trying to find the top companies, as the one I'm using now is rated 101 out of 5000. If you can't answer questions nicely, when all I'm doing is trying to find a good food my dogs will eat, then please don't answer my questions at all.

Thank you. I also think this food is very good quality. I was talking to the guy at the petstore. I was thinking maybe royal canin, but, he said that it was his understanding that Science diet had bought them out, so, I decided against that. I can't understand why some people think I'm trying to cause problems, all I 'm doing(if they would READ) is trying to find a good quality food that my dogs will eat, and I think I finally found it. Maybe you could write the company and see if they could send you a trial bag to try
