| ![]() I went thru a bout of this with my older yorkie in the fall. I thought it was ok to give her meats from the table and other doggie treats but I learned the hard way. The vet called her the miracle dog- he has no idea how she made it- her lipase levels were off the roof. She is now the picture of health! She is on 1 Tbsp. canine I/D wet food mixed with 1 Tbsp pastina and 1/4 cup of wellness dry food. She gets this twice a day and looks great. I am soooo sorry to hear of your loss. Other yorkie lovers please heed this warning!!!!!!! ![]() ![]() |

| ![]() I can only imagine how you are feeling, I am so sorry for your loss. I want to thank for taking the time to post this and inform other owners. I have been very strick with my Coco and stress the importance to my parents, but I have no idea that is could make her that sick. |

| ![]() I'm so sorry for your loss. I didn't post but lost my Pixie on July 3rd. She had fought Pancreatitis for two years caused by steroid sensitivity and a vet who made a mistake, never marked her records. A few months ago had an HGE attack and was hospitalized for 4 days. Afterwards, she really lost her will to fight and was declining even more. Pixie had another HGE attack July 1st and was hospitalized again, more severe. I had to make the decision to euthenize her on the 3rd since she had another attack in the hospital. Boy, it was hard. You have my sincere sympathy. Jessica |

| ![]() OK, now I'm thinking after reading all of this. Deucy gets about 1/2 scrambled egg each morning for breakfast...since he was little bitty. Some white chicken breast only every once in awhile...applesauce..a little and the MILK BONE little doggy treats. But all of these black spots that are croppiing up all over his little belly and genital area.....???? Maybe it's some of this people food he has been eating forever. He is kind of spoiled but I do not give him very much at all. Anybody? |

| ![]() I have a couple of questions, is your pup itchy? Is he uncomfortable with the spots? It's possible that your dog has an allergy. Sammy developed severe skin allergies when he was oh probably 10 or 11. Actually he was 10 and he was being treated with antibiotics and steroids (side note, steroids are BAD for your dogs). He used to eat chicken and all kinds of food but he had to stop because of the allergies.....it's possible that this is what's up. What does your vet say? Chris Quote:

| ![]() I am so sorry for you're loss! No I am nervous about my little guy. I have a 6 month old Yorkie-poo. I feed him Merricks puupy food. Is this ok? Also he gets Newman's own chicken organic treats and Old Mother Hubburd puppy treats. Newman's has 8.5% crude fat and OMH has 7% crude fat. Take care and Gob Bless Cindy |

| ![]() I am so sorry to each and every one who lost thier babies. Thank you for the warning. Mine get a bite of people food now and then but only things that I feel are not fatty. I am going to watch what I give them much more carefully now. I have always had to be careful of Teddy with his sensitive stomach anyway.
