| I have heard of this and thinks its normal but I have never done it either. His ears look okay, not too much fur on the inside. I keep his ears dry when I bath him and clean his ears with a solution (Oticalm) on a weekly basis as it was recommended by the vet when I first got him when he was a puppy and that was it. I do check his ears every week just to make sure they are okay.

| My groomer does this once in a while and since she started, mine have had NO ear infections. Luna got a couple of infections before I had found this groomer, the other groomer didn't believe in pulling the hair out. They use a special powder to help them grip the hairs, so it's over quickly and they do get used to it. The first few times their ears were a little red afterward, but now it doesn't seem to bother them at all.

| I have never heard of this and my yorkie's have never had an ear infection. I get Rickles groomed about 3 times a year and Gleason is going to be groomed for the first time March 3rd. Not once has anything like this been mentioned to me. Who knew? |
