| The only thing I can ask is, are you sure the matts weren't worse than you think they were? I have had many clients come in wanting just a trim up, but I CLEARLY show them and let them know if their dog is too matted and if shaving is the only option they have to OK it first. If they don't want to do that, I won't do their dog (b/c I am not bathing a matted dog and getting left with the possability of that dog getting an infection from wet matts left on their skin). If that wasn't the case, then SHAME on him for not consulting you first on what he was going to do!!

| FYI I am not in the mindset of its just hair but you take this to court this is what you would be told. Also the groomer can go after one for slander because a bad hair cut is just an opinion. Now if that groomer did bodily harm to this dog then you got your self a case. But Im so tired of people here saying oh sue that groomer over a bad hair cut. Why are people so darn sue happy these days?

| Again, thanks for all your nice words...Zoe is definitely reaping the benefits of being bald...lots of snuggling under the blanket! She shivers constantly...even with clothes on...I'm starting to wonder if it is becoming a habit so I will hold her wrapped in a blanket! (she is no dumb broad) She still looks....how do I put it....horrible. But I love her all the same. Yes it will grow back but like others have said, that clearly is not the point. There was one matt that was closer to the skin, but could've been either worked out or cut. I took her to a groomer because I figured (wrong) that a groomer would be better suited to deal with it than me. Clearly this groomer didn't know his head from his ass when he decided to not only shave her body down, nick her hoo ha but also shave her nose when I told him not to. I don't know a courtesy call would have been nice..."Hey Ericka...I am going to shave your sweet girl down to the bone so that she will look like a chihuahua, oh and yeah..I don't really care that you want to leave her hair on her head alone..I am going to chop it all to hell and shave her nose too." Its one thing for me to screw up a hair cut. But for someone claiming to be a "professional" to do it is ridiculous! I believe that EVERY groomer should have to go to a grooming school to learn about the different types of dogs and different types of cuts. They should be required to have a license...lord knows half of them charge as if they do have one! hmm....I didn't realize I was so pissy until reading my reply. :hmm33: This subject as you can tell has become a real sore one for me.

| I had this happen to Mia. She's grown out now - but it's been almost a year 1 Before the cut 2 Right after the cut 3 Close up of her body vs her face You can see how long it is in my avatar - I have been trimming & thinning every couple of weeks but she does need a good cut now.

| Blitz ~ As soon as my phone rang at an hour my stomach instantly had a knot in it..I knew there was no way she could be done... I don't think it would have been near as tragic had he left her hair on her head alone. So now, we will just have to be patient as her hair grows back. Chalk it up to a good learning lesson...no more groomers only I am allowed to mess her hair up

| Really do not see your point... It is obvious that this person is or was a groomer....at least that is my "opinion." The point is you gave the groomer instructions to perform a service.....just like repairing your car......he chose to ignore the instructions and perform the service without your approval. So, bottom line, he was wrong, he did not have a "choice". You are the customer....it was NOT his choice... Now, whether someone "sues" or not is their perogotive....that is permitted in this country, that is one of our rights, so to speak.....but, if indeed you did want to take him to small claims court or not....that is up to you......I know what it is like to sue someone, when everyone says "you'll never win, it too much trouble....bla bla bla.....well, I did and guess what......I won.....against all odds....lol. I see that you have resolved to the fact that "groomers" will not groom your dog...which is not a bad thing.....I tend to agree.....get a good video and do it yourself....LOL Best wishes.... Quote:

| Angie's Bark Ave - Mechanicsburg Warning! Stay away from this place! As a first time customer, there was a severe lack of customer service. We have a small Yorkie puppy, and we requested they not use the table grooming leash around her neck due to potential trachea problems. The staff gave us a hard time, treating us like we didn't know what we were talking about and that they knew best. Thankfully, they didn't put the leash around our pup's neck, but the fact that we were treated the way we were was very upsetting. We were told it would be an hour and a half wait, despite having an appointment. We were unable to watch our pup get washed and dried. We were told they did not use heat but we don't know for sure. The shampoo that was used made our dog smell like a car freshener mixed with stale cigarette smoke. Our pup's eyes have been red (bloodshot) and watery since we brought her home. One nail on each paw was forgotten while being clipped. Her hair was cut very unevenly, some of which we did not notice until we got home. After they gave us our little girl back, we were told what we owed and that was that. Again, the lack of customer service made us feel like they didn't even care if we came back. Overall, we were not impressed and we will not be back. From a first (and only) time customer, STAY AWAY!
