| This looks like something I could use at home In doing a bit of research on it I ran across the following site and it seems as though there have been a few problems recently with defective batteries. Has anyone experienced this ? http://www.petgroomerforums.com/chat...hp/t-9400.html

Yes I would like to know this as well. Since most of my dogs are kept in a full coat, it is very important that it has a guard so the hair won't catch. That is one of the reasons I have never used a dremel, too dangerous. But according to their website the guard on it suppose to prevent it from catching the hair. So I would really like to know if it comes with guard. Peppi is older and every time I clip her nails they end up breaking and splintering after being cut so this would be perfect for her as well as the others. If it comes with a guard I think I will have to order one and give it a try.

| I think that if you buy the tool it comes with it. They just added the safety guard separately for people who already have a dremel they can use it with that. At least that is what I gathered from the online posts about the batteries. I would love to get this product for my babies. I have been clipping all mine forever now it seems and they do okay, but I wish that it was more comfortable for them and for me. Plus I would love for the edges of their nails to be smooth.

It does make some noise but its not bad. Its not too heavy IMO. Mine is the elite and it has a guard I think they all do. | |

No Longer a Member | Here's some info that talks about problems with the batteries... http://groomblog.blogspot.com/2007/1...-groomers.html This is a pretty recent article too. So looks like that guard attachment is available to purchase for your own dremel... Last edited by mistyinca; 01-12-2008 at 10:14 AM. |

| I am trying to buy it but there is a problem with there credit card program. They say that even my debit card is not valid or whatever. I know that I have money to cover this and it is still not approving me. Weird. I want to try this so bad. Anyone who has one of these I would like any pros and cons of them. Thanks, Sharon

| Has anyone on here had problems w/ their batteries? Can you plug it in and use it that way too or is it just a cordless? ---I haven't looked at the site in a long time, I can't remember....

I just got this response today from the peticure company - Molly: We were not seeing the battery problem as much with the Petites as we were with the Elites. We are getting brand new shipment with fully functional batteries for ALL models first part of Feb.
