| San Antonio Has anyone ever traveled to San Antonio with their dog? We are taking Benji on July 7th and I have no idea where he is allowed to go. We are staying on the River Walk. We have to keep Bella with my uncle (since she is the calmer and best behaved one) because they wont let two dogs be with us in the hotel we booked. I couldn't find anyone that allowed two dogs. We will be leaving Saturday morning and coming back Sunday night. Thanks!

| I think that is where we are staying. They told us only one dog was allowed per room and that we can not leave them alone in the room. Is it a pretty nice place???

This Red Roof Inn is not on the River Walk it's about about a mile or two from it.

| I've never been there with Sadie, but I hear it's a pretty dog friendly city.

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | We were there in April-Stayed at Red Roof Inn-Seaworld-It was very nice. I don't recall any limit on dogs-no extra charge for dog & they said as long as they had fresh food & water we could leave him in the room. We had a great time & only left him in the room at night when we went out to eat. We went to The Muesem across from the Alamo & he was in my purse carrier-can't see him, no problems when I did take him out in the gift shop....The outside restaurants on the riverwalk never said anything either.

| Good question. We are going to San Antonio in August to see George Lopez and take the kids to Fiesta Texas while we're there. Where did you get a room at that allowed dogs? I'll be in the same boat but now we've got 3 yorkies. The family members that we would normally ask to look after our brood are going with us. So I need to start planning now.

You're right, LaQuinta does accept pets.....and more than 2....I just traveled from Texas to California with 6 yorkies and stayed at LaQuinta. Another is Best Western, Motel 6 and some Hampton Inns.

| I don't know if there are any hotels right on the riverwalk that allow dogs but there should be several within a mile or two that does. The problem with the riverwalk is there really isn't much grass around for them to potty in. I have taken Lacy with me to the Riverwalk before. I walked her around and carried her. It is pretty hot in the summer though so be sure to take water with you, and it can get real crowded too so you'll probably feel safer carrying your baby. We even ate at a restaurant sitting right next to the river with our dogs. I usually see a lot of dogs there.
