| Found a breast lump last night............................ located in the medial margin of my left breast. I found it while showering, doing BSE. It is hard, seems stationary, unmovable, at 2 cm. x say 6 cm. or so, sort of long tubelike shape. I only found the longer part after I got out of the shower. I'd be willing to swear that in the shower it was just a 2 cm. round nodule but I was so stunned maybe I didn't feel around that much then. Tibbe gave me solace after I came into the den. The Sherlock in him sniffed my mood immediately - he was so sweet. Having diagnostic mammogram and possible sonogram today at 12:45 p.m.CST. Danny's taking me, bless his heart. Thank God for him, for healing and a healthcare system that can work you in TODAY as I don't know how I'd have made it waiting through an entire weekend or week or two for an appt. for testing, having already been through this once already. I was sort of having a mental tizzy when I got to thinking, we're so blessed in our first world lives to have our 21st century medicine that it got me thinking about the poor women in many third world countries finding a breast lump yesterday who may have to walk miles on a dirt road to even get to see a nurse or doctor, let alone get a timely test and interp, and who knows about surgery or treatment! I am blessed from the start, I totally know that. Still, I could really use your prayers and support. Ya'll are the greatest all the time but a real blessing in need ♥. (Tibbe is dreaming down at the other end of the couch, suddenly sort of wail/yowled out in his sleep like a banshee. He's so funny, even sleeping!)

| Whew! Thought this was an aggressive, fast-growing mass as it appeared so suddenly & was long, tubular-shaped and unmovable as far as I could make out. Never been so scared as while I was waiting for them to read the sonogram and then when the doctor came in and repeated the sonogram, he asked me if I had some type of 'device' in my breast or chest. I told him I'd had an ILR placed in the upper left chest wall by a cardiac surgeon in 2016 after a mild stroke to check if PVC's could be the cause for the stroke. Turns out the darn thing had migrated from the initial upper left chest wall site downward into the outer left breast tissue and THAT'S what I 'found', palpated during last night's shower! I never missed its moving as I'd grown so used to it I never noticed when it moved. I must have turned beet red from embarrassment, as well as suddenly gone weak with relief, as I just heaved a huge sign and dropped my head. Doctor burst out laughing, said not to feel silly, he was just grateful it wasn't a mass! Me, too!!!!!! Said this wasn't the only time he's seen doing this and done sonos under the exact same circumstances. Radiologist said probably need my breast surgeon to decide if it needs to be moved from the outer edge of the breast tissue. Sorry for the false alarm but last night and this morning I was scared stiff to suddenly have this hard lump suddenly appear in my left breast, couldn't help but think the worst. Thankfully, it's just an insertable loop recorder device gone south! Thanks, you wonderful YT'ers for the prayers and concerns.

| After counting the blessings, the good news here is that you found it and addressed it. Not assessing and finding changed are the danger. You did good

| Thank you all. I feel like an idiot when I found out what it was but whoever would think that loop recorder would MIGRATE down the way it did! They didn't mention that when they inserted it. But I was SO RELIEVED TO FIND OUT that's what it was and not a fast-growing, organized, hard mass that wasn't moveable I almost fainted with relief. Just went weak all over. I'd been so convinced that anything that hard, that big and grew that fast was a very bad thing, although the suddenness of it was truly perplexing. Now that I know what happened, that the device suddenly migrated, I'm convinced that carrying in an armload of my heavy leather purse hanging from my elbow, w/cell phone in it, sack of 3 2 liter Diet Cokes, plus a sack of canned good all on my left wrist and left hand the afternoon before I found the 'mass' must have torn something or whatever to allow that to happen. And then to get all those sacks up on the counter, I had to swing my arm back and up forcefully so everything landed on the kitchen counter, as my right arm was holding another two sacks. Felt kind of ruptured all over afterward - everything was sore for a couple hours in my shoulder and left flank, chest. That's all I can think. Anyway, thank you all so much for always being here and being so sweet. This time there was a happy ending.

| Boy, I was scared! So hard to keep positive & have faith when there's this big hard thing in your breast that just seemingly overnight showed up. The rest of the night I found it was awful, just getting through the rest of the night. Knowing I could have all those prayers and support from YT meant so much I just had to post this thread before leaving for the test. Having ya'll out there means so much when times are scary.
